Unleash your inner rock legend!

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for PS3 or Nintendo Wii is the revolutionary musical video game that has swept the world. Turn up the volume and prepare to become a virtual rockstar using some of the most intense hand-eye coordination a video game has ever demanded.

Become A Legend
In this iconic video game series from Activision you face off against guitar icons like Slash of Guns N' Roses or Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine. Fight insane battles featuring original tracks recorded exclusively for Guitar Hero III. But first you'll have to shred your way through classic tunes by such notables as Santana: "Black Magic Woman," ZZ Top: "La Grange," Red Hot Chili Peppers: "Suck My Kiss," and newer fare from Bloc Party: "Hellicopter," The Killers: "When You Were Young," and Queens of the Stone Age: "3's and 7's." In all, there are over 70 ear-catching headbangers, punk anthems, and modern rockers that'll keep your fingers busy. Master them all, and you'll feel like a legend too.

Rock Out Online Or Party Offline
With Activision's Guitar Hero III you defeat opponents to achieve legendary status in head-to-head competitions., There's even an all-new guitar battle where you can wreak havoc on your opponent's gear by using your earned weapons to break strings or amps. Or share the glory with a friend in the co-op career mode.

Cutting Edge Guitar Controller
Activision updated the Guitar Hero III controllers with enhanced button coloring and shape, making them feel more like a guitar than a toy. The wired Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers are based on Gibson's classic Les Paul. The PS2 controller is based on the Kramer Striker guitar. It's wired, has a removable faceplate, and comes with a series of stickers so you can customize the look of your axe. (Controllers require 2 AA batteries.)

Game supports up to 2 players.

Big Guitar Hero fan

I bought Guitar Hero 3 for the PS2 the other day and I haven't put it down since. I like how the new wireless guitar is compatible with the previous Guitar Hero games and seems to allow a good amount of space for the connection. As the graphics go, I'm impressed with the Xbox 360's Guitar Hero 3 graphics. It had the same cartoonish look but the shapes were more rounded and somewhat realistic. There's a cool new part of the game where you actually battle bosses in something that would resemble a rap battle. Instead of using Star Power you have Battle Power which you can use to attack the boss you are fighting. There is alot more great features about this game but what really dissapointed me were the set of songs that came on the game. Alot of them were from the 70's and 80's. Maybe they're supposed to be since its "Legends of Rock" but I don't know. Overall, I think this is a great game and is a nice addition to the Guitar Hero series. Thanks for reading this really long freakin review. =D

kick ass.

this is by far the best guitar hero game YET! it's incredible. i love the graphics, the songs, the venues, the guitars and the characters you can choose from... the bonus songs are fantastic! i didn't really care too much for the bonus songs in guitar hero 1, and only a few in guitar hero 2... so this is by far the best.

very challenging, but lost a few things

this game is great, but the difficulty is definitely noticeable. Medium hard and expert are way harder, which is good to set the bar, but is it too hard? the game lost some great aspects of star power, like the way the characters do crazy moves, but the wireless controllers are such a plus. This game is really good, really challenging and really fun. so it looks like the creators did their job. Don't worry, this game hasn't lost its "guitar hero-ness".

Guitar Hero III

This game kicks major butt. The Note charts are the most challenging yet. Great set list choices. "One" by Metallica. What a song!!!

Awesome game.

This game rocks. I've been playing Guitar Hero since the first one on PS2. Just lots of fun. Don't expect this to teach you a real guitar, but it's definite fun for those of you that want to feel like you're rocking out to your favorite songs.
