Overview

The miracle of volume – now amplified. Whether you play chunk rhythm, fingerstyle, bottleneck or anything else, the all-mahogany G9241 Alligator Biscuit Roundneck resonator guitar with deluxe appointments projects its distinctively swampy tone all the way to the back door of any dancehall.

Now featuring the Fishman Nashville Biscuit-Style pickup, you’ll have the power of amplification behind your sound. Like all fine Gretsch resonator guitars, the vital feature of the G9241 is the Gretsch "Ampli- Sonic" diaphragm (resonator cone). Handspun in Eastern Europe from nearly 99-percent pure aluminum, the Ampli-Sonic diaphragm yields an impressive quality and volume of tone. Case sold separately.

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G9241 Alligator Biscuit Round Neck Acoustic-Electric Resonator Guitar:

Love this resonator. Clear tone, easily adjustable and sweet fingerboard. The radius on the fingerboard is slight enough to play with a slide, but rounded enough to pick and barre should you want to do that. Quality construction throughout -- surprised by the price point and the fact that it's manufactured in China -- whoever runs that factory is doing a heck of a job on Quality Control. Frets and neck are solid with no buzz or dead spots; required no adjustment out of the box. The pearloid headstock is fun, but the main point with the headstock is that tuning machines are angled inward so slightly from bottom to top of the stock that the D and G strings don't have undue tension on the bend from the nut. That thoughtfulness helps adjust from dropped tuning to regular EADGBE tuning and back again. Quality parts as one would expect from a US-made vintage Gretsch. Good passive electronics too -- clear tones without buzz, hum or feedback when played on a Fishman acoustic amp.

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G9241 Alligator Biscuit Round Neck Acoustic-Electric Resonator Guitar:

I got mine out of the box and was immediately impressed by the workmanship. It just looks like a cool old resonator. You can't believe it's so reasonably priced ! I plug it in to a pre-amp ,then in to my P.A. system. If you use your EQ on the P.A. , you can get a great resonator guitar sound. The pickup in the guitar is obviously good quality. I totally recommend this instrument and it looks good hanging on the wall.
