Awesome

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6128T-TVP Power Jet Electric Guitar with Bigsby:

This guitar does it all! Jazz, rockabilly, punk, rock'n'roll, you name it. The filtertron pickups deliver a unique tone apart for all the others. Solid weight leads to great sustain. The fit and finish are amazing, especially the stained wood grain on the sides and back. I was unsure about shelling out so much for a guitar, but this one is worht every penny and then some. I wouldn't give it up for anything. Before you get a Les Paul check this one out because you will be coverted to gretsch.

Wonderful guitar

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6128T-TVP Power Jet Electric Guitar with Bigsby:

I bought this guitar about a year ago and keep enjoying it more and more as I get better. It always plays great. I bought it in the dry desert west and now live in the humid south. In both humidity extremes it plays perfectly. It feels great. I think it is just the right size. I love the feel of the neck. The weight is not bad. I think its really a goldylocks guitar in that its just right. I also think it looks awesome. I don't think I will ever get tired of how impressive this guitar looks. Now the important part, the sound. This guitar sounds amazing!!! I am surprised how versatile the guitar is and how many sounds I can get out of it. I am also amazed at how much feel is delivered while playing. The pickups are wonderful and can provide some bite when needed. I play blues, rock (mostly old stuff), some jazz and everything in between. It has a distinctive sound that I love. If I could only own one guitar, this would be it. Overall this is the best guitar I have played and one I plan on keeping for the rest of my life. I have two complaints. First, I love the ebony fretboard and can't understand why the bridge saddle is rosewood? Second, I am not a big fan of the adjustomatic bridge (on this or any guitar). I plan on doing a fairly inexpensive upgrade replacing these two items. Great guitar, I love how it plays, how it sounds, how it looks and how it feels. I would strongly recommend this guitar.

A nice workhorse

By DONALD ALBERS

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6128T-TVP Power Jet Electric Guitar with Bigsby:

I purchased mine two months ago and find it to be a nice balance bewtween a gibson and fender. I like this model for its appearance and the TV Jones pickups which give it great versatility. Build is on par with the best - nice action, great neck and love the bigsby. I acutally like this bigsby setup as its not the drastic tension bar approach as on the B7 bigsby. In my view the simple over the bar string wrap gives it a more delicate vibrato feel. I would give it 5 stars - but, its a chambered body and I wish it were solid to increase the sustain. But, it does save one's back and it sings nicely. Its a very verstile guitar and great in the studio.

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6128T-TVP Power Jet Electric Guitar with Bigsby:

Saw a used one these guitars for sale used on this site. I had to travel almost 200 miles to get to the Guitar Center there. I plugged it in and was in love. I was hesitant to play it right away the next day in our church because I didn't know if it would stay in tune. Wow!! it surpassed all of my expectations. For the first time, my guitar was clear and crisp and the swells sounded amazing. No problems at all staying in tune. They had two new ones at the store. If you are a noodler or EVH wannabe this guitar is not for you. If you want amazing sounding clear distortion the TV Jones pickups roar. There is a reason all the top Christian bands have someone playing one of these. Amazing!!

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6128T-TVP Power Jet Electric Guitar with Bigsby:

This is an insanely popular guitar for a reason. Chris Quilala of Jesus Culture, Nigel Hendroff of Hillsong, and many more tour with the Duo Jet, which is a very nice guitar but it ain't a Power Jet.

I was a little worried at first that the pickups would be a little too much but dialing back the gain on my amp took care of that and I ended up with a fantastic guitar with a ton of versatility, playing soft warm tones with tons of ambience, and a nice little bit of natural reverb, to a screaming lead that fails to disappoint, and even a very nice thick Rhythm tone across the drive spectrum, all the while ringing out each note perfectly.

In addition to the fantastic tone versatility, the guitar looks and feels like a Master-built peice at a fraction of the price of one. My luthier confirmed the guitar was almost perfect and needed very little work out of the factory, the intonation was almost perfect and the action needed very little work. The end result is a great sounding guitar with fantastic low rock action, and incredible smooth playing even with coated 11-49 strings.

    100% Reccomended
