Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6122II Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Electric Guitar:

I wanted a USA made 6122 but all the ones on ebay had condition problems. I called Gretsch (Fender)to see if they would refinish one to new condition and they said they didn't do that and recommended a shop in Chicago that had horrible yelp reviews. A friend who I trust said these Japan models were great quality so I bought one. He was right! Perfect setup and beautiful. Plug in to a handwired AC 30 and play George all day!!

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6122II Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Electric Guitar:

Great gitar for jazz and select styles of rock. The tone i so nice and warm. It can get very bridge-like or neck-like which the pickup selector. Very wide range of frequencies. thebigsy tremolo is great and will stay in tune most of the time. The finish is beautiful and will last a long time. I play in a jazz band and it fits perfectly with the band bcaus it has a nie hollow sound when needed. Overall awesome guitar!

Gretsch George Harrison Guitar

By Ken

from Pittsburgh, PA

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6122II Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Electric Guitar:

This guitar is an upgraded version of the Guitar George Harrison played on the ED Sullivan Shoe and when the Beatles invaded America in 1964. I has all the bells and whistles with the Filertron pickups and the vintage art deco Grover tuners. In addition it has real f-holes which ads to its acoustic tone. If you want that great Beatle sound that George played on the lead guitar, this is the one for you! Just get a Vox AC 15 or 30 and you're ready to rock!

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6122II Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Electric Guitar:

guitar is pretty awesome, my friend owns one that I borrow from time to time. I have to say it plays great, sounds great weather it's plugged in or your just strumming in a small room. The only complaint I have about this guitar is that it can be hard to find a case for if it doesn't come with one

If you're looking for a blues folk guitar...

By Ronald Baez

from Boston, Ma

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6122II Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Electric Guitar:

I own this guitar, it was the first Gretsch I ever bought and the second archtop I've ever had the joy of playing, it's also my favorite guitar to play on tour. It follows Gretsch's signature warm hollowbody sound one looks for when you're considering a hollowbody like this, and the sliding capabilities along the fretboard has the guitar respond phenomenally. I've done everything from original folk blues songs to covers like Jack White's "I Cut Like A Buffalo" and even Lead Belly covers work great on this guitar. It's also quite a display on stage, I always get marveling eyes from fellow musicians when the Gretsch comes out to play. If you're looking for that warm Tennessee blues sliding feel, you can't go wrong on here. Feed back control is excellent, (especially useful with the Jack White covers), and the guitar itself has a comfortable fretboard for anything from quick think fingerpick arpeggios to rioting punk rock riffs, (with the right pedals). I've had the guitar for 4 months and I've yet to have a complaint. Hell of a buy, if you're considering it I'd say go for it.

Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Electric G6122II

By Steve

from Portland, Oregon

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6122II Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Electric Guitar:

This is one sweet guitar! Everything about it is fantastic, from the looks to the sound! One of mythe best things about Gretsch guitars is the necks, they are the most comfortable necks I've ever run across on any guitar, and a comfortable neck means you will play the guitar longer and more often! The Chet Atkins Country Gentlemen guitars are all fantastic but this one (G612111) is the best I've ever personally seen! 5 stars is the most I'm allowed to give, but I'd give it 10 if they let me!

Two Thumbs Way Up

By Jake Lib

from Philadelphia, PA

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6122II Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Electric Guitar:

Although this guitar will put a dent in your wallet, it is really worth every single penny. Not only is it stunningly beautiful, it sounds great and plays even better. It has good action and it just feels right in your hands. This is everything and more that we have come to expect from Gretsch. I play mostly indie rock, but this guitar is also great for blues, jazz and even heavier rock styles. Definitely recommended.
