Amazing!!!!

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G100 Synchromatic Archtop Acoustic Guitar:

I couldnt find much information on the web regarding the sound of this guitar. I had never played this guitar but was familiar with the general sound diff of an archtop compared to a flat top. I wanted a unique sound as opposed to the severe bass tone of a traditional acoustic. I took the leap and ordered this little gem. The craftsmanship was flawless and the packing of the shipment was also great. I ordered the natural finish and was surprized when I opened the box. It does have a very unique orange tone to the wood so if your looking for the bright natural finish this isnt it. The color doesnt look like pictures shown but I actually think it looks better. It gives it a vintage glow. The satin finish is great at hiding finger prints. The factory strings sound like trash in my opinion so order your favorite acoustic strings when you purchase this guitar. I would suggest tru md or heavier. As for the sound.... Amazing! I tuned this puppy up and strummed a g chord with my new blue steel strings and it was like heaven ringing in my ears. You can really play hard on this archtop and every mid/high tone rings loud and clear. The volume of this gretsch will fill the room with a warm tone you cant achieve on a flat top. Its not a very bass oriented guitar so dont expect when playing an em to hear the deep tone of a flat top but it has a sound all to itself. I am a heavy music person. I listen to the deftones, 36 crazy fists, bullet for my valentine, and others in this category. This guitar sounds great playing this type of music. It allows you to really get on it without losing the quality of the tone. I love this Gretsch! Take the plunge if your looking for a unique sound when playing alone or with friends. Its not just a jazz box or swing guitar anymore.

BEAUTIFUL

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G100 Synchromatic Archtop Acoustic Guitar:

There is no other way to put this, it is just simply a beautiful guitar and it is good sounding too, though as a word of warning, don't order a case for it unless you are 100% sure it will fit, because most cases wont fit it due to it's awkward shape. Overall I am more than pleased with it!

Gretsch G100 Synchromatic

By szabogo

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G100 Synchromatic Archtop Acoustic Guitar:

Fun to play. Sounds good. Very nice looking. Some "quality control" issues: I returned the first one becuase the tuning heads weren't even close to straight...more of a cosmetic issue which didn't affect sound or playabilty. 2nd one (replacement) heads were slightly askew but much better than the first. Some inconsistnecies in staining of the wood. Again nothing that affects performance. Otherwise a nice gutiar.

THIS ONE DOES IT ALL!

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G100 Synchromatic Archtop Acoustic Guitar:

Gretsch has done it again! The G100 Synchromatic Archtop Acoustic Guitar is a looker, has the great Gretsch sound and plays like a dream! Too many great things to list about this player. Okay, we'll tell you some... it has an awesome vintage look to it. Reminds me of the early 50's guitars by Fender and Gibson. The Archtop also plays smooth and sounds awesome. Then of course, the company backs its instruments to the wall. You cannot go wrong with this beauty if you are a country & western or jazz player.
