Gretsch® Instrument Limited Lifetime Warranty
FMIC warrants your Gretsch brand instrument to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as it is owned by the original retail purchaser, except that pickups, switches, jacks, controls, all other electronic components, tuning machines, hardware, pickguards, plated surfaces, gig bags, cases and case hardware are warranted for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. This warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser when this instrument is purchased from an Authorized Gretsch Dealer and is subject to the limitations set forth herein. IMPORTANT: PLEASE RETAIN YOUR ORIGINAL SALES RECEIPT, AS IT IS YOUR PROOF OF PURCHASE VALIDATING THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
FMIC has established a network of independent Authorized Service Centers for warranty service. The Gretsch Dealer from whom you purchased your instrument may also be authorized for warranty service and should be the first point of contact when service of any kind is required for your Gretsch instrument. To receive warranty service, return the complete instrument to an Authorized Service Center, with your sales receipt as proof of purchase, during the applicable warranty period. Defective components that qualify for coverage under this warranty will be repaired or replaced (at FMIC's discretion) without charge. Remedies beyond normal service repair of any Gretsch instrument require both an evaluation and confirmation of the defect and a direct recommendation to FMIC from an Authorized Service Center for alternative considerations.
All transportation, insurance and freight charges associated with warranty service and repairs on Gretsch instruments are the responsibility of the purchaser, as is any service initiated for the purpose of customizing setups or adjustments beyond factory specifications. Initial standard setup and adjustment of the instrument and its components at the time of purchase are considered normal Dealer product preparation, and are not covered by this warranty.

This guitar plays and feels great, and has that very distinctive swampy Gretsch sound. If you don't want that sound, or want it to sound like a Fender or a Gibson, buy one of them! Or buy a Reverend, which everyone says get real tone versatility. I bought mine to play and record cowboy swampabilly roots rock, and through the right amp (either an old Supro or a '64 Deluxe Reverb), it works. Love the bigsby setup, which is unique in my experience. Love the cowboy appointments, love the big orange color.
The TV Jones filtertrons sound great. I can't get used to the Gretsch fetish for a tone switch rather than a knob, it just seems weirdly limiting to me. One day I might mod it, but mostly I use the middle "no-tone" position so maybe it doesn't matter. Much.
Hard to keep in tune if you use the bigsby at all; wear in your strings well before that session or gig! Consider 11s!
No problem with fit/finish/setup/quality/durability. Time will tell, but what quality guitar will break if you don't break it?
A wonderful guitar indeed! This is a must have for anyone who likes RHH and plays guitar, I hope someday I'll be able to afford it. It has a lot of style and class and has a great sound. You'll feel very good as soon as you touch it.
In a word, Class! After putting this guitar through it's paces, I have nothing but great things to say. After getting over the price( I NEVER pay this much for a guitar) I can say that it is definitely worth every penny. From the classy fretboard inlays, to the nitrocellulose lacquer finish, to the T.V. Jones pickups, and even the case, the guitar is stylish and unique, looks good on stage, and sounds even better. It is also exceptionally easy to play, right out of the box, and responds to every nuance of my playing style. Bravo to a first class guitar!!
