Gretsch® Instrument Limited Lifetime Warranty
FMIC warrants your Gretsch brand instrument to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as it is owned by the original retail purchaser, except that pickups, switches, jacks, controls, all other electronic components, tuning machines, hardware, pickguards, plated surfaces, gig bags, cases and case hardware are warranted for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. This warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser when this instrument is purchased from an Authorized Gretsch Dealer and is subject to the limitations set forth herein. IMPORTANT: PLEASE RETAIN YOUR ORIGINAL SALES RECEIPT, AS IT IS YOUR PROOF OF PURCHASE VALIDATING THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
FMIC has established a network of independent Authorized Service Centers for warranty service. The Gretsch Dealer from whom you purchased your instrument may also be authorized for warranty service and should be the first point of contact when service of any kind is required for your Gretsch instrument. To receive warranty service, return the complete instrument to an Authorized Service Center, with your sales receipt as proof of purchase, during the applicable warranty period. Defective components that qualify for coverage under this warranty will be repaired or replaced (at FMIC's discretion) without charge. Remedies beyond normal service repair of any Gretsch instrument require both an evaluation and confirmation of the defect and a direct recommendation to FMIC from an Authorized Service Center for alternative considerations.
All transportation, insurance and freight charges associated with warranty service and repairs on Gretsch instruments are the responsibility of the purchaser, as is any service initiated for the purpose of customizing setups or adjustments beyond factory specifications. Initial standard setup and adjustment of the instrument and its components at the time of purchase are considered normal Dealer product preparation, and are not covered by this warranty.

This is a fantastic guitar. There are a few technical specs other reviews left out. here they go: First, the neck is a "v" shape. This is a very attractive 50s style neck and easy to play. The second is super important: it has trestle bracing on the body. This is a huge upgrade and a very tone important measure. The special 50s style bracing means the top is more interactive when played and this means the entire guitar vibrates with mojo...which you hear acoustically and amplified. The locking tuners are a huge upgrade as are the tv jones pickups. Nothing sounds like a gretsch with tvs. Nothing. The brian gretsch has several gretsch switching modes for pickup selecting, the best being dead center for all switches, which gives you the famous and super cool gretsch sounds we all love. This fit and finish on these japanese made guitars is dead perfect. I would argue better than almost every american guitar company. The ebony fingerboard plays like butter and the bigsby is just fun. you can always move the bigsby's handle back if you are not into the vibrato tailpiece. The flame is on the back, sides, and top. One thing most gretsch guys agree on is they are built like tanks and always hold tune. you should take caution to climate change with this guitar. like i've said before on other reviews I've had a lot of guitars in my life and I love this one. She is a keeper and I would buy another if she were lost or stolen!
first, I own several Gretsch guitars, but had to wait to make the plunge. There is another version of this guitar but this was the one I wanted. Kudos to the guitar center tech who set this up for me. This guitar is a dream to play and while it sounds great in a '59 Bassman, I run it through twin Vox AC30's. For Sweet Setzer sound get the Roland Space echo pedal to go with it. Anyhow, this top of the line Gretsch is worth every penny you invest. It is the smoothest playing guitar I own w/ a very fast neck. Thank you Gretsch!
For starters, Thumbs up to everyone at Guitar Center who assisted. I mean, down to the Certificate I found that specified this guitar was tested, checked, and setup and repacked VERY Carefully. I was amazed, But it was the only way to get this guitar to me. There are no music stores within 2 and 1/2 hrs!!!
Anyway the guitar.IT IS BEAUTIFUL TO STARE AT!! It makes you play better! I had to rethink my approach to the technique I use. But after a few days, This thing IS alive and the feel is amazing. Do I have to repeat BEAUTIFUL!!! IF you were putting off getting a Gretsch because of the price?? I did for over 30 years.Get one, They are well Worth every cent I paid!!! This just blows 'em all away in feel, sound and Mojo/Vibe. Gretsch got me right into my sound by this guitar. and Guitar Centers policies and staff are keeping me as a customer Forever! THANKS!!! MK
