Gretsch® Instrument Limited Lifetime Warranty FMIC warrants your Gretsch brand instrument to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as it is owned by the original retail purchaser, except that pickups, switches, jacks, controls, all other electronic components, tuning machines, hardware, pickguards, plated surfaces, gig bags, cases and case hardware are warranted for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. This warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser when this instrument is purchased from an Authorized Gretsch Dealer and is subject to the limitations set forth herein. IMPORTANT: PLEASE RETAIN YOUR ORIGINAL SALES RECEIPT, AS IT IS YOUR PROOF OF PURCHASE VALIDATING THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. FMIC has established a network of independent Authorized Service Centers for warranty service. The Gretsch Dealer from whom you purchased your instrument may also be authorized for warranty service and should be the first point of contact when service of any kind is required for your Gretsch instrument. To receive warranty service, return the complete instrument to an Authorized Service Center, with your sales receipt as proof of purchase, during the applicable warranty period. Defective components that qualify for coverage under this warranty will be repaired or replaced (at FMIC's discretion) without charge. Remedies beyond normal service repair of any Gretsch instrument require both an evaluation and confirmation of the defect and a direct recommendation to FMIC from an Authorized Service Center for alternative considerations. All transportation, insurance and freight charges associated with warranty service and repairs on Gretsch instruments are the responsibility of the purchaser, as is any service initiated for the purpose of customizing setups or adjustments beyond factory specifications. Initial standard setup and adjustment of the instrument and its components at the time of purchase are considered normal Dealer product preparation, and are not covered by this warranty. One reviewer stated that the Bass is heavy..Not true, as compared to my Jazz and Warwicks ( especially). The range of sounds is incredible, it can get that wooden sound and be replicated at a decent volume. Everyone compliments the bass on its looks, I agree. It also has that something that sets it apart from other standard basses. It can be played with a pick ( sounds amazing) and fingers. The difference in all the sounds make it like you have at least four different basses. But it can bottom out most amps. I uses a Genz Benz w 2x12 and it sounds great.
Other guys reviewing this have no idea what they are talking about Tim Skold plays a broadkaster and this bass is super light as to be expected from a hollow body. The tone is superb as it should be for the price. My finish and set up was flawless straight from the box. Neck feels great and the short scale makes it easy to play. Has a nice growl with some round wounds has a great classic thump with a set of flat wounds, think Paul McCartney or Justin Medal-Johnson. Great bass if you are looking for a hollowbody but not right for every application. Play in a country band and a punk band and I would never bring this to a punk show. I have had this bass for about 6 months and played a ton of gigs with it and have had no problems.
When You Look At This Bass You Think Its Like Any Other Bass, Well From 2003 On Tim Skold Of "Marilyn Manson" Uses This Bass And If You Like Manson's Music Than You Can Clearly Here How Good This Bass Sounds In There Live Shows I Roars But Yet Still Has A Sort Of Beauty To Its Pulse Jumping Sounds.
