Gretsch Guitars G5135PS Patrick Vaughn Stump STUMP-O-MATIC Electromatic CVT Electric Guitar (105304687)
Availability:

It gets everything from traditional biting Gretsch tones to colorful fat and thick sonic blasts!

The Gretsch G5135PS Patrick Vaughn Stump Signature CVT Electric Guitar comes from the heart and soul of guitarist and frontman, Patrick Stump of the award winning, multi-platinum selling band Fall Out Boy. The vision Patrick had for the STUMP-O-MATIC Electromatic was a versatile solidbody guitar capable of discharging not only classic biting Gretsch tones but also an array of thick, fat, colorful, bombastic sonic blasts at the flick of a switch. It took the genius mind of Tom "TV" Jones to develop the circuit design that brought Patrick's dream guitar to life.

The singing rich sustain of the Gretsch STUMP-O-MATIC Electromatic Guitar comes from the set-neck, string-through-body design and 3 Mega'Tron pickups. The special 2-position rotary switch allows you to keep things traditional or you may choose to dial in the middle pickup in multiple combination settings that includes having all 3 pickups on at the same time.

And if that isn't enough, rapidly manipulating the STUMP-O-MATIC kill switch machinegun-style while the guitar is engaged in full throttle screaming feedback may cause some to duck for cover. A pewter paint job with strategically placed black body stripes makes the Gretsch Patrick Vaughn
Stump STUMP-O-MATIC CVT a must-have in your guitar arsenal.

  • Great for any sound!

As reviewed by Tyler on 12/24/2010

I've owned this guitar for about a month now and it is spectacular for rock. The three pick ups really make a difference between another guitar. The look is sexy it's really slim and light weight so it's very portable if you're doing a gig. Through any amp this guitar sounds spectacular. Only thing is the design on it. If you don't like the design there are other guitars just like it so no worries. So yes this guitar deserves 5 stars!

  • Breathtaking.

As reviewed by Scott Marcus on 12/30/2011

I've been infatuated by this guitar for about a year and a half now, after I noticed Patrick of FOB's guitar was really cool looking. I researched it and what not... one year or so later, here I am with my "dream guitar". I was worried I wouldn't like it because I couldn't play it anywhere, so I had to go out on a whim when I decided I wanted to order it, although I could've returned it. The reviews were good though, so I got it, and trust me: trust the reviews. It's a fantastic guitar, one that's easily better than or about as good as some Gibson LPs and SGs that I've heard, and for about half the price of most. It sounds awesome clean and great distorted, too. Good for blues/jazz to pop/punk/emo rock (anything on the light to medium side-not too heavy). There are SO MANY tones you can get out of this guitar; I reccommend studying up on the different rotary knob/selector switch combos to get he best tone for what you are playing. I printed out a sheet with the key of what position activates which pickup as a refrence. The biggest and only drawback I've seen (so far) is that the guitar, after a certain point, doesn't hande distortion well. It's difficult to get very distorted or overdriven, and gets muddy-ish at a certain point, but thats up at 7-8 to 10 on my amp. Otherwise, its a very slim, light, versatile guitar with a slim and playable neck. Low action, great sustain due to the through-the-body stringing, and it holds a tune well too (I really like the mini tuners). It's worth the money, and if you want it but can't afford it now, it's worth it. It's also absolutely beautiful.

  • To good to be true

As reviewed by Bran Lewis on 9/21/2009

I finnaly got this guitar and it is the best i have ever played on.It's low action gives it a great feeling, and a good solid feel. With its great bright tone, it is perfect with a mid tone amp. This guitar is awesome because you can have 3 different tones. As a active player I would recommend this guitar to and music lover out their.
