Recalls the early Synchromatics of the '40s.

One look at this beauty, and you'll swear you've stepped into an Art Deco time warp! Reminiscent of the early Synchromatics of the 1940s, the G100 features a Gretsch chromatic tailpiece, aged pearloid block inlays, vintage headstock logo, and rosewood Gretsch synchronized bridge. 16" x 2.75" laminated maple hollowbody with arched spruce top, 25-1/5" scale maple neck with rosewood fretboard, 20 medium jumbo frets, and 1-11/16" bone nut. Vintage white binding, vintage open-back machine heads, Gretsch knurled strap knobs, chrome hardware, and matte urethane finish add gorgeous visual appeal.

Gretsch G100 Is Style, Class & Great Sound

The Gretsch G100 is one of the most beautiful guitars I have seen in a long time. Compares to the Gibson/Epiphone Emperor Regent (natural), which overall design resembles each other except that the G100 is fully acoustic without pickups. The softness of the urethane finish adds to its distinction and beauty of the 1930's era in which this style guitar was created. Playability is very smooth, easy and fun, that makes for great for Jazz and Blues. Though this baby does not have electronics the volume will easily fill the room with low and high tones. This guitar will someday be a collectors item - No doubt!

Gretsch G100 Synchromatic

Fun to play. Sounds good. Very nice looking. Some "quality control" issues: I returned the first one becuase the tuning heads weren't even close to straight...more of a cosmetic issue which didn't affect sound or playabilty. 2nd one (replacement) heads were slightly askew but much better than the first. Some inconsistnecies in staining of the wood. Again nothing that affects performance. Otherwise a nice gutiar.

THIS ONE DOES IT ALL!

Gretsch has done it again! The G100 Synchromatic Archtop Acoustic Guitar is a looker, has the great Gretsch sound and plays like a dream! Too many great things to list about this player. Okay, we'll tell you some... it has an awesome vintage look to it. Reminds me of the early 50's guitars by Fender and Gibson. The Archtop also plays smooth and sounds awesome. Then of course, the company backs its instruments to the wall. You cannot go wrong with this beauty if you are a country & western or jazz player.
