• My first kit :D Perfect starter set.

  I bought this kit in the beggining of Febuary. Gretch does a very nice job of making their drums look nice. THIS IS A BEGINNER SET! I suggest you look at something else if your more advanced. Assemly is extremely easy. It only took me and my dad about and 11/2 to finish everything. The wood is made out of poppler, which is a very bad wood, but you won't find anything better for this price. The price is awesome! Especiall with everything that comes with it, but I made alot of changes to it: -Got new heads, the heads on there are cheap crap -Bought a chair and sticks since they don't come with the set -Upgraded and purchased a new Kick Pedal -Then I got a better snare, this snare sounds so bad and dry -Got rid of the 8x12 tom, so I made it into a 4 piece -Upgraded the Hi Hat Stand -New cymbals (just some b8s) the Sabians are cool on this set. You won't find these types of cymbals on other sets this price. But like I said before..BEGINNER SET! Some of the changes I made you don't need too (except pedal, high-hat stand and heads). You won't be disappointed! Get this set if your new, couldn't go any better!

• Great Beginner and Intermediate Kit...

  I am proud to say that I own this kit. It is great for all style of play (jazz,rock,metal) and the cymbals are nice for most styles. The setup was somewhat complicated but not too bad. It comes with remo heads on the shells. The default hardware isn't bad, although you might want a better hihat stand. Most kits at the price rance have a crappy bass pedal but this one works great. Overall great kit.

  I ordered this as my graduation/birthday present and have enjoyed it since. Hardware is solid, though the tom mounts need to be extra tight to prevent sliding. Cymbals are quite tinny, so I would recommend buying the shell pack and getting cymbals separately. The factory heads are not bad, especially on the snare and bass, and set-up is simple. Drums sound great for the price and hold up quite well. Strong buy for a first kit.
