wow, what a difference in tone and warmth from the pearl forum series I replaced with them. I bought the whole catalina maple kit (6 piece),and have two more toms on order. This kit is the most beautiful and best sounding kit I've ever owned in my 39 years of playing. the finish on the maple shells is spectacular and the wood rings like a bell. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.
this tom made my day, it took over a few weeks to get to me becasue of back ordering and such but so worth the wait. this tom is beautiful and is full of life and projects great, great tonal quality. i put on some emperor clears, and ambassadors clear and havent looked back hah. this tom is the real deal, the 8 is no toy but so tiny and enjoyable like a toy. The color finish cherry was spectacular, u must buy this tom! it is simply a gretsch product which stands by its logo! email me if you want and i can send u pics of this beauty!
