Overview

String Saver Classics Strat & Tele 2-1/16" Spacing are a unique combination of materials made to enhance tone and dramatically reduce string breakage.

How do they work?
Each String Saver Classic saddle insert, is impregnated with Teflon, the slipperiest substance on earth. The Teflon in String Savers eases the grip between the saddle and string, spreading the stress over a greater portion of the string, just enough to drastically reduce string breakage. Teflon is 500% more slippery than graphite and is impregnated throughout the String Saver material, so its lubricating properties will never wear out. For string breakage reduction the difference is dramatic. Strings that last and last, no matter how hard you play...we guarantee it! Imagine how you would play if you didn't have to worry about breaking strings.

What do they sound like?
String Saver Classics are designed to preserve the original classic sound of your guitar. But, don't be surprised if you end up playing and sounding better when you don't have any more fear of breaking strings.

· Reduces string breakage
· Keep the original look of steel saddles
· Keeps the original tone of steel saddles
· Super lubricating
· Improves tuninging Saver Classics are designed to reduce string breakage yet retain the same look and sustain as regular steel saddles.

Comments about Graph Tech String Saver Classics Strat & Tele 2-1/16" Spacing:

These Saddles are 1000 times more comfortable than the original bent metal vintage saddles that came stock on my MIM Strat. I love the tone of the original strat saddles, but they were very uncomfortable to play, as I rest my hand on the bridge while playing. I play classic Rock and do not use the vibrato bar, and keep the bridge decked at all times. After changing them out, there is a noticeable spike in the midrange that was not there before. It is not necessarily a bad thing, just different and something to keep in mind when changing any parts on your guitar. It was easy to dial the extra mids out with the amp's EQ. Now my strat is super comfortable to play, so I play it more often, and it still sounds like my strat with changes made to my EQ settings...

Replaced bent steel saddles on my USA Professional Tele because the strings were walking all over the saddles when I would bend. These saddles keep the strings centered and string spacing right on. Look nice too!

Comments about Graph Tech String Saver Classics Strat & Tele 2-1/16" Spacing:

I was never a fan of bent steel saddles but most Fender Strats these days come with them (the Elite series an exception). I bought a set of these Graphtech chrome 2-1/16" for my new American standard ash sienna burst Shawbucker and they are the best upgrade you can get for the money. They excelled in every aspect--improving tone, shoothing out the bridge for palm muting, the fuller mass is less prone to allen screws skewing, and IMO they look better. The graphite in the cavity for the string automatically lubricates the string--thus the name "string-savers. They are tremelo friendly whereas a bent steel may develop microscopic pits that wear on strings.
