If you have a high quality acoustic or vintage guitar you owe it to yourself to hear the difference a TUSQ saddle will make. Compared to standard materials, you'll hear crystal clear bell-like high end, big open lows, and a noticeable increase in overall sustain.

TUSQ saddles are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body, and have been proven to increase a guitar's harmonic sustain. Acoustic guitars come alive with delicate highs and big open lows!

TUSQ is far superior in sound and appearance to synthetics such as Micarta and Corian. The high levels of heat and pressure used in making TUSQ results in its exotic ivory-like appearance.

Join those who know great guitar tone! TUSQ is used by: Martin, Taylor, Larrivee, Gibson Acoustic Guitars, Tacoma Guitars, Ovation, Rick Turner, Garrison Guitars, Breedlove, Manuel Rodriguez, Rainsong, Carvin, Landola and many, many more.

TUSQ has quickly become an important tone performance tool for many guitar manufacturers, luthiers and playing professionals around the world. TUSQ saddles have rich tone and sustain, without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone and other natural materials.

Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain), throughout each piece, hampering consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top.

  • TUSQ Fully Compensated Saddle

As reviewed by Felix on 5/17/2010

It went on a 6 year old Yamaha F-335. It doesn't take much of a musician to imediately notice clearer highs, deeper lows and more resonance with everything in-between. It took me a few times on and off, sanding about a millimeter at a time 'till I got it where I liked it(2mm higher that the original for high E and the same as original for low E). With new bronze plated steel strings, it now sounds like a more costly guitar.

I knew that the original saddle was soft and the strings were cutting deeply into it so I wanted to repkace it. Looked at several brands and read many reviews and decided to go with this due to the product description and reviews. I knew it needed several adjustments with sanding, so I calculated and made my marks and started sanding, the bottom needed aout 5/32 removed, a nothe were the solder joint was on the elctronic pickup that sat beneath the saddle and about 2/32 on the sides at the bottom 1/8 inch this was to allow for the saddle to fit into the pickup plate. Action is now wonderful and the sound quality is truly clean. I did this on my EG530SSC TAKAMINE Acoustic Guitar with a TK-40 pickup

  • Unbelievable!

I have been researching what to replace the saddle and nut with on me Alverez Yiari Acoustic guitar. I went for this and I am glad I did. Does exactly what is says it will do. The tone difference is simply stunning! The best thing you can do for the tone and sustain is to replace your nut and saddle with the Tusq brand. I have tried all other materials including bone, brass, synthetic bone and so on. This will go on all my guitars from now on. Try it!!!
