This Gon Bops tumba drum from the Tumbao series mixes favorite signature Gon Bops conga features such as the square side plate with the comfort of Contour Crown Hoops and ergonomic die-cast handles.
This Gon Bops conga drum is crafted from Siam Oak, then fitted with select-grade buffalo hide heads for a dark, mellow sound with plenty of response.
Purchased this item in a Tumba 12" in. size as a, Christmas present for our Nephew, he's 8 yrs. old, his 1st Conga Drum and let me tell you, I'm very impressed by its quality and performance. Well made, nice finish, a strong and sturdy drum. Should stand up well from youngsters use, etc... I own a pair in the, Acuna Series but, mostly I'm an LP man and this drum, at its price, definitely gives the, Aspire, CP, Headliner, Synergy and other brands beginners line a run for its money. Highly recommended as a beginners Conga Drum!
