Comments about Godin Montreal Premiere TriplePlay Hollowbody Guitar:

When I purchased the guitar with Triple paly midi, I was excited about the potential of integrating with virtual plug ins in DAW format. Problems with download...had to hire computer geek who spent 8-10 hours with downloads. Translation of sound poor. Action on guitar was high and could not be adjusted as a result of midi pickup under saddle.
Instructions and tutorials were not practical.
If you are serious player , stay away from this frustrating midi.

      Triple Play made me crazy!

Comments about Godin Montreal Premiere TriplePlay Hollowbody Guitar:

Couldn't agree more with the previous one star review. I have a number of Godan Guitars, and the guitars themselves are great. I also have a Fishman amp, and love that. At a cost of an additional $300, I ordered one of my Godans with the Fishman Triple Play, and waited additional months for delivery. If you watch the videos and read the hype, it sounds like the perfect world of musical expression. Just download some software and go for it. While I am neither a computer geek, nor a Les Paul, I've had years of hands on experience with both and do know my way around guitars and computers pretty well. There are about 5 different software packages to download, all with a bunch of confusing ifs, and and buts about how it has to be done. If and when you can get it working, the results are disappointing, and nobody I know would attempt to use it live. Every time I look at that guitar, I shake my head and I think I would gladly pay another $300 to make the junk electronics go away. I wouldnt put anything past Gibson, but I don't understand why Mr Godan would risk his well earned reputation in the business by cutting holes in his guitars to put this junk in it.
