The Godin Summit CT has an eye-catching highly figured solid maple carved top (CT) and an extremely resonant solid mahogany string-through body. The worn-in feel of the Ergocut shaped ebony fingerboard makes the ultra comfortable mahogany neck incredibly easy to of play. This 24-3/4" scale behemoth is powered by two Seymour Duncan humbuckers. An Alnico 2 in the neck position and a '59 in the bridge, controlled via a 5-way switch, provide huge amounts of tone for many styles of players, most notably the classic, hard-rockin' variety.
H.D.R. High-Definition Revoicer The H.D.R. revoices and augments the frequency range of each pickup and allows the player to go from passive to active pickups with the simple push of a button. The H.D.R. gives guitarists the best of both worlds and provides extra bite and dynamic response.
The H.D.R. provides extra bite, dynamic response and redefines the character of each pickup. It's like having 2 sets of pickups in 1 guitar for 5 pure passive tones + 5 pure active tones.

This guitar is just great. ill go from head to body. First off, the tuners are great, they stay in tune well and feel right when you turn them. Next up is the neck. I really like the ebony on this, it has more bite than rosewood for sure. the inlays are pretty cool cause they're there, but aren't distracting from all the stuff your fingers are doing. The back of the neck is my favorite part, it's unfinished and the ergocut makes it feel really, really smooth. the only problem is its harder to play the upper frets (after 14th fret it gets hard to get the lower strings) but thats only because its a single cutaway. The pickups are great, so great in fact that it made me realize Seymour Duncans are the way to go. The Alnico II is really what you need in a neck pickup, smoothness, clarity, its great for classic rock and blues and is really nice and warm. The 59 in the bridge means that this is not for high gain. I, personally, can get amazing sounds with it because of my Way Huge Swollen Pickle mkII, but thats not in the guitar. Using just distortion, you CAN get some hard rock songs out of it, but its not the best for metal or grunge. Both of these pickups and the 5-way switch work great. I usually leave the HDR off, and only use it for really technical solos or for more modern stuff, because I feel like I want a little background noise when I play something from the 60's or 70's. Knobs are easy to use and the gig bag is really great. 5 stars to Godin.
Okay - we'll start with the only semi bad thing about this guitar and that is that there are no locking tuners. However, this guitar still holds its tune very well so no locking tuners really doesn't matter. The Godin tuners on this guitar are great quality.
Now we can discuss the good which should be easy since everything else about this guitar is outstanding. I had mine shipped and they went to great lengths to make sure that my guitar arrived in superb condition. It was well protected during the shipping process and I was surprised to see a very sharp Godin gig bag as well. The set up was top notch right out of the bag ... and my goodness this guitar is beautiful. I feel in love with it immediately just on looks alone but once I played it I was head-over-heels. Having a 5-way switch with the HD revoicer allows for multiple options for shaping your tone and this baby plays like a dream. In many cases a new guitar takes some getting used to but not with this one. The ebony fingerboard and mahogany neck make this guitar feel like I have been playing it for years. Bottom line - I would recommend this guitar to anyone. You will not regret your purchase.
I bought this guitar sight unseen godins are hard to come by in my area. When it arrived it was all that and some. The build was flawless from cosmetically to specs neck is addictive ;beautiful rosewood 2 duncan pu;s a 5way with a revoicer which gives you five more tones the sound is amazing for any style rock jazz blues classical this baby does it all. The price was right also . Needed no setup .Godin is a great guitar company that just doesn;t get its do;s cause of the big boys. I just picked up a 97 godin artisan st four it will smoke any custom shop guitar out their four times the buck. Quality all round. This guitar will please the pickiest of guitar snobs. This guitar has some weight .Great shape feel and sound. you won;t be dissapointed.
