Provides a nearly endless spectrum of acoustic and electric tones.

The Godin Multiac Spectrum SA is an acoustic-electric guitar with a wider body design, a Seymour Duncan Lipstick pickup in the neck, Custom Godin electronics with separate tone and volume controls for the Lipstick pickup, as well as a 13-pin connector for direct control of Roland GR Series and Axon AX100 guitar synths. The top of the steel string Multiac guitar incorporates a modern variation on the classic X-brace. The guitar's slim neck and shallow body make the Multiac Spectrum SA exceptionally comfortable to play. 2-chamber body design resists feedback.

The custom preamp on the Multiac Spectrum allows for onboard control of treble, mid, bass as well as a slider for synth volume and acoustic blend. Separate volume and tone controls for the Lipstick pickup can also be conveniently found on the side of the guitar.

Godin Multiac guitars use the RMC PolydriveT system which has individual transducer saddles under each string. This system not only produces superb amplified sound, but also produces a hexaphonic output through a 13-pin connector, which provides these guitars with direct access to RolandTM GR-Series synthesizers. A 1/4" phone output works with a regular guitar cord.

The key to the exceptional synth tracking of the Multiac guitar lies not just in the electronics but also in the carefully selected and balanced blend of different woods used in its design. All of the materials are the result of extensive prototype testing to achieve the best possible combination of plugged-in guitar sound and synth tracking.

  • Excellent Guitar

As reviewed by Bud Summers on 8/8/2011

Great sounding/great playing guitar. I did have a luthier friend of mine set it up a little better an it plays slightly better than when I bought it. This has become my #1 guitar in a stable that includes Gibson, Yairi, Ibanez, Yamaha, Talman, Giannini and now four Godins.

I bought the black. This guitar sounds crystal clear..!! its got a very very open warm sound. Ok many acoustic guitars have that but this is special. You just have to play one to feel its quality.. Good work Godin. My first product from you has got me hooked..

  • Best Guitar I ever own!!!!

As reviewed by JOSE on 7/25/2014

At first I am still skeptic about the 5 star reviews on this guitar but what keep me interested is the capability of using with my Roland Synthesizers, not bragging I have all the models of this guitar synth and I am still using them all but I experienced problem with their pick ups. Hence I gave this guitar a trial and you know ONLY GUITAR CENTER nowhere else can give you 1 month trial and if not you're happy with the item you can get your money back, as soon I saw the Guitar delivered in my hand I fell in love with it at first site. Right there and there I said to myself the trial period end up after few hour of hooking it to my Roland Synthesizers....LOVE IT...It even sound good by itself not hooked up...Craftsmanship is solid and Made In Canada not China!!!!!!
