Godin LGXT AAA Flamed Maple Top Electric Guitar (511918)
Availability:

Combines electric guitar sounds, acoustic guitar sounds, and fast guitar synth tracking.

This combination of fast synth tracking and a tremolo system makes for incredible sonic power and delivers it in a very user-friendly, eye-pleasing package. Exquisitely playable with surprising resonance and a vibrant natural tone, the LGXT pairs an ergocut mahogany neck with a sleek and smooth ebony fingerboard and a silverleaf maple body topped by AAA-grade figured maple. The LGXT has dual Seymour Duncan humbuckers--a Jazz II in the neck position and a Duncan-modified Custom Custom in the bridge position; a Godin exclusive. The custom RMC X-Bridge fires the piezo transducer output and the excellent synth-tracking system.

Includes a gig bag.

  • Almost too much, but not quite...

As reviewed by Matt on 4/30/2011

Talk about the Swiss Army knife of the guitar world. This guitar has three separate outputs. Standard electric, piezo and a midi out just in case you want to play whale sounds or an organ using the guitar as a "keyboard". You also get the tremolo bar and locking tuners. Last are the Seymour Duncan pickups which are an outstanding match for the versatile guitar. Build for all of the LGs from Godin is astounding. Mahogany body, mahogany neck and a carved maple top. Similar shape as the Axis and Wolf stein which is a fusion of a Les Paul and a telecaster make this a real player. Let me also mention that the AAA flame is some of the best out in the market today. The only issue I had with the guitar was that I would have liked to have had a locking nut, but this guitar does very well with locking tuners and stays in tune with moderate use of the tremolo. With the best available wood, electronics and craftsmanship how can you go wrong?
