• Alright, but not for me

  Build Quality: 5/5 Overall, a solid casing, though not quite as sturdy as some of the other effects pedals I've used. This is to be expected from a wah pedal though so it's really alright. The pedal action itself felt pretty good. It wasn't too lose but it was easy to rock. Features: 4/5 It's loaded with features, which is really nice. It's a great idea to have both the pedal and auto-wah functionality in one unit. The sub-wah is essentially the same thing as a regular wah, but with a bit more added bass in the low-pass filter. Unfortunately, I found the sweep on the unit to be very fast, despite having a sensitivity setting. No matter what I set the sensitivity to, the sweep would almost always activate around a certain point and had no real way to draw it out and make it longer. Huge downside for me. As far as the auto-wah functionality goes, it worked just fine. You could set the speed at which the wah activated, or you could use the envelope function to get a wah whenever you play a note. Personally, my favorite mode on it was the envelope filter, but it really didn't have enough tonal variation for me. It was really a one-shot wonder, which is disappointing for a unit of this price when there are cheaper envelope filters out there that have 10 times more variation to the effect. The 'reverse' switch which was supposed to reverse the wah did some really weird stuff and sounded horrible. Essentially worthless IMO. At least the optical "better than true bypass" worked very well. It was a silent and automatic switch and it was probably my favorite feature of the unit. Definitely had no bad effect on my tone. Sound:3/5 As said before, just not nearly enough variation on what you can get out of this product. If you like the sound you get from it, than good for you, because there's no way to change that sound. Don't get me wrong; it sounded really good and wasn't a tone cruncher. But it only had one sound so it's definitely not for me. Other stuff to note: All in all its an alright product if you want the all-in-one ability it has. It's really not what I was looking for though, so I'm going to return it. It also chews through 9V batteries really quickly, so you might want to invest in a power supply if you get it.
