      Solid Tuners

      By Craig

      from Lancaster PA

Comments about Gibson Vintage Gold Machine Heads with Pearloid Buttons:

I have a set of these on my Les Paul and because I was so happy with how they worked I took the risk of putting a set of gold ones on an Ibanez Artcore that was in need of new tuning pegs. My concern about putting them on the Ibanez was I knew the screw holes wouldn't line up and that I would have to drill new ones. I thought the old hole from the original peg would show but there was just enough bulk in the Gibson tuner that it covered the old hole. In terms of performance there's not much more to say other than they are firm and consistent which to me is a sign of a good tuning peg. I've bought others where the difference in force needed to turn the peg was like night and day across 6 tuners. Not with these, everyone is exactly the same. The most important thing is it keeps the guitar in tune. I play a lot of surf and rockabilly stuff and can be pretty hard on bends and the use of the vibrato arm. The tuners do there job and help keep things in tune.

These tuners are not necessarily the best that money can buy...but the do the most imortant thing! The hold your guitar in tune while giving you that classy keystone look!

      Gibson Machine Heads

      By Zane Potter

      from Kirkland, WA

Comments about Gibson Vintage Gold Machine Heads with Pearloid Buttons:

I got the Gibson vintage gold machine heads to replace the old ones on my 93ۡ Gibson Custom Shop SG, after so long the old oneۡs where just not as responsive as they used to or should be especially on the G-string. The new ones went on fine look good and have had no problems with them, Gibsonۡs should have these machine heads the just look better and they add a bit of class to the guitar. The old machine heads I was having problems with I took apart and it was kind of a disappointing quick fix and I did not need to get the new ones but I am happy I did because now I have the old oneۡs on my Epiphone SG. I recommend you to get theseۡs heads there vary nice.
