Overview

The vintage appeal of this Gibson Southern Jumbo Acoustic-Electric Guitar is right out front with a brilliantly executed sunburst finish and split parallelogram inlays on the bound rosewood fretboard. The black pickguard on the Gibson True Vintage beauty complements the black headstock veneer with pearl logo and crown inlay. And it sounds as sweet as it looks with a premium solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Lower string tension from the 24-3/4" scale makes it play like a dream.

Gibson Southern Jumbo

By c

from Carriere, MS

I played this guitar few months ago at Guitar Center but I do not own it. The action on the guitar wasn't the best, but it wasn't too bad. The finish was really nice, it had a great shine to it and you could see all the detail. When played you could tell it was a Gibson, it had a great rich sound and when plugged in to a amp it sounds just as good. I don't really have any dislikes with this guitar besides the action, but you could always adjust that. For my likes with this guitar would be the sound, finish and shape. The shape of the guitar is just right, not to big but not to small. I recommend this guitar for any pro or advanced guitarist looking for a great quality guitar with a great sound.

The tone is indescribable and the potential for songs are obvious when playing this beautiful guitar. Feels and sounds like something played by all the greats. Gibson out did themselves.

I`m an aspiring singer/songwriter been playing for a longtime, when i picked this guitar up for the first time i knew it had potential for songs. It sounds beautiful with deep undertones and bright sustained notes where ever on the fret board your playing, it comes so natural to me when im playing and singing unlike anything ive ever exspierenced. The chords flow effortlessly and the singing i dont have to think about. I dont miss the money at all this guitar is priceless and i wouldnt sell for 3 times what i payed, Great guitar, I look forward to handing it down for generations to come. I know it will hold its value just like anything gibson creates.
