ok, now my opinion.

Comments about Gibson SG Standard 120th Anniversary Electric Guitar:

Sorry that someone didn't get what he didn't pay for. I tried an anniversary SG with the g-force tuning and hated it. traded back for a '61 and love it to pieces. It feels like your fingers are floating while making beautiful music. The best thing to do is go to your nearest Guitar Center and play one for yourself..... IF you can get one, that is.

disappointed but corrected

Comments about Gibson SG Standard 120th Anniversary Electric Guitar:

I bought a 2015 with the g-force tuning and hated it. It was neat to see the tuning keys fly back and forth but I couldn't get it to work correctly. I worked with the guys at my local (Round Rock Texas) store but couldn't resolve the problem. I traded it back in and got a '61 SG and couldn't be happier with it. I rated the anniversary SG down for that reason alone. I can't say for sure but I think that too many people played with the g-force too much before I got it. For my money you just can't beat a SG.

Some of the worst features in the SG Standard range.

Comments about Gibson SG Standard 120th Anniversary Electric Guitar:

First off: the guitar is absolutely gorgeous and plays like butter. Gibson QC has really stepped up their game these last couple years. That being said, this model has many of the features from the late-60's models. The pickups are a very awkward set indeed; you have the great sounding, smooth 490R in the neck, but the very bright, overly hot 498T in the bridge position... why? You also have the larger, blockier neck joint along with very shallow bevels on the cutaway horns :( Major letdown. They should've at least put in '57 classics, and gone with deeper bevels on the horns.
