Overview

The haunting, timeless sound of the man whose genius has inspired generations of blues artists has been captured in this special signature edition acoustic. Everything has been re-created painstakingly, from the shallow L-1 body design to the 25" scale. The authentic ebony bridge has the original, beautifully carved pyramid wings and the soundhole diameter remains at 3-3/4". Even period-correct hardware is used. The only modern refinement to the design is the tasteful inclusion of Robert Johnson's signature inlaid with mother-of-pearl in the fingerboard.

Great Sound-Little body

By lvtoeyh

from Las Vegas, NV

I have owned this guitar for about 6 months now and play it about 50% of the time I play. I have 5 other guitars. This little guitar sings with GREAT treble sounds and clear base. I have had a number of other guitar players comment on how great the treble notes are on this guitar. That being said, I think the quality of workmanship could be better. There are numerous glue stains on the interior of this guitar and also where the neck meets the body and where the fretboard meet the sound hole. I ordered this through an online retailer seller. It came packaged in a standard Gibson box, in a great Gibson case, but it had neck scratches, very noticeable. I thought about sending it back but the sound was too great to chance getting one that didn't have this one's sustain and presence. I think it is a little pricey, a blues king is cheaper but not quite up to the blues sounds this one puts out. If you have the bucks, like a smaller body and neck guitar, go for it. You won't be sorry.

Unsurpassed Sound!

By Spaboy

from Denver, Colorado

Although I've played many Gibson Acoustic guitars over the years, this one is most impressive. The sound that comes out of this instrument is absolutely incredible! For a small guy like me, the narrow body and 12-fret neck are a plus. Wonderful craftsmanship!
