Comments about Gibson Nashville Tune-O-Matic Bridge:

this the original equipment fot alot of Gibson guitars. The pricision machine work is super, not slopy like alot of after market bridges, the better the bridge fits the better the sustain!!!

Comments about Gibson Nashville Tune-O-Matic Bridge:

This is the best bridge Ive had. Ive seen the Epiphone stock bridges, and I thought they were good, but then I saw this one in action and its amazing, the looking and performance is just perfect.

No notches

By jb blues

Comments about Gibson Nashville Tune-O-Matic Bridge:

As you can see, there are no notches on the saddles to keep the strings in place. not a deal breaker on an other wise finely machined component, but considering my epiphone had a bridge with nothches, i figured it worth mentioning. i guess you could really only dislodge the strings (and put them out of tune) if you were really slamming right next to the bridge with a 3 mil pick, but that would just be the worst if you were at a gig and it happened. buying gibson components, you're guaranteed a perfect fit and good quality(in my limited experience), but I would recommend checking out other brands, they might have natches and are probably cheaper than gibson(unless you go for higher end parts).

      • Used On My 1978 Lp Custom

Comments about Gibson Nashville Tune-O-Matic Bridge:

I had a 1978 Les Paul Custom that the old bridge completely rusted out and couldn't adjust the screws anymore. Wasn't sure at first if the Gibson replacement would be a high enough quality but it was. Had my tech install it and it has the best action now than it ever has had. So glad I bought a Genuine Gibson bridge.

Comments about Gibson Nashville Tune-O-Matic Bridge:

Got this to replace a gold-tone bridge that came on my new (to me) 20047 LP Studio. I had a local shop cut the saddles to my gauge strings and set the guitar up and it plays beautifully.

Comments about Gibson Nashville Tune-O-Matic Bridge:

If you're replacing a bridge on a Gibson guitar this is the best of their bridges to buy. It provides added space for saddle movement to get superior intonation. NOTE: I saw a comment (or two) regarding this bridge that I kind of couldn't believe, so here's the deal: If you buy this bridge YOU must establish the individual string slots in the saddles. There's a reason replacement bridges like this one don't come pre-cut; there are different necks and different individual preferences for string alignment (particularly along the edge of the neck for the 1st and 6th strings). The solution: Buy a cheap set of jeweler's files and use the triangular one to cut the string slots once you've decided precisely where you want the strings to line up. This is not exactly a task for anyone who's not accustomed to working on their own guitars. It's really easy to screw this up so take your time figuring out the string spacing and their alignments before you cut any slots in the saddles.
