The J-180 Cherry is a show stopper! Rare and collectible, this unique model, with enhanced double guards and a bright cherry finish is not to be missed. This is the first time in history that this rare model has been offered with a solid Cherry finish. Slightly smaller body dimensions than the King of the Flat-tops, the J-180 produces powerful sound with a more nuanced volume and tonal range than its larger cousin. The solid Sitka spruce top with solid flame maple back and sides generate a clean, bright tone and powerful projection from the wide lower bout. Ships with a Certificate of Authenticity.

One inch in diameter smaller than the SJ-200, the J-180/J-185 has stood the test of time and remains a popular and sought-after Gibson among players and recording artists producing a balanced tone that sparkles on the high end. Solid maple back and sides, Genuine mahogany neck attached to the body with a traditional compound dovetail neck joint using old world hide glue.
