Overview

Taking design and visual cues from the Les Paul models of the '80s and '90s, the Les Paul Traditional Pro III EX Electric Guitar features powerful pickups with push/push for coil splits, coil selector and boost circuit, '60s neck profile, antique binding, period-correct pickguard, vintage Gibson top hat knobs, locking Grover tuners and the revolutionary Plek set up.

With all the fat, sweet, snarling Les Paul tone that purists love, the Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro III sports a mahogany body with a thick maple cap for the perfect blend of warmth and clarity. The top is finished in high-gloss lacquer, while the back, sides, and neck have a smooth satin finish that feels great and lets the wood resonate fully. Includes hardshell case.

I love this guitar!

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro III EX Electric Guitar:

This purchase was a big deal for me because this is the most expensive guitar I've purchased. My other guitars (gibson les paul studio, fender mexican made telecaster, carvin dc series) are at a lower price point. This guitar is the real deal, and definitely a higher class of instrument for me. First, the payability of the guitar is outstanding: the action is outstanding, there is no string buzz at all, and there is no issue with losing notes while bending. The 60's slim neck and satin neck finish further add to the outstanding playability. The sound of the guitar is excellent. Played acoustically, the sound is rich with long sustain. Plugged in, the guitar doesn't dissapoint. The PAF style alnico 3 magnets really shine. The neck pickup is very warm, clear and articulate. The bidge pickup has a lot of bite and growl. I did lower the pickups slightly to find the sweet spot. The hot rodded electronics are great. I like to use my volume and tone pots when playing, and these do a great job shaping the sound. The other features are icing on the cake, affording some wonderful tonal options. This guitar is a real beauty! I have the honey burst finish, and I really love it. The fit and finish is top notch. Finally, this guitar is a great value!
