Overview

Taking design and visual cues from the Les Paul models of the '80s and '90s, the Les Paul Traditional Pro III EX Electric Guitar features powerful pickups with push/push for coil splits, coil selector and boost circuit, '60s neck profile, antique binding, period-correct pickguard, vintage Gibson top hat knobs, locking Grover tuners and the revolutionary Plek set up.

With all the fat, sweet, snarling Les Paul tone that purists love, the Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro III sports a mahogany body with a thick maple cap for the perfect blend of warmth and clarity. The top is finished in high-gloss lacquer, while the back, sides, and neck have a smooth satin finish that feels great and lets the wood resonate fully. Includes hardshell case.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro 3T Electric Guitar:

As soon as I got this home and played it the treble volume knob came all the way out of the pot. Guitar Center gave me a hassle about fixing it. They actually flat out lied to me. They said they would order another pot and replace it. When I called to see if the pot was in they said Gibson would not let them work on the guitar and I had to send it in under warranty. I called Gibson and they said that was lie and GC is licensed to order parts and fix Gibson at their store. I will never buy a Gibson or Shop at Guitar Center again. Stay Away from both.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro 3T Electric Guitar:

I had first purchased a Music Man Cutlass, but, after a bit of playing on the Cutlass, I was not happy with the overall experience the guitar provided. I decided to play a couple Gibson's and this baby stuck out from the lot. Overall, I thoroughly enjoy the guitar. More specifically, I am most impressed with the pickups that can sing/scream while also allowing me to customize the tone fit any of my needs, as well as the overall build quality. Most importantly to me, this guitar has a very nice feel to it. Hard to explain, but suffice to say that it allows (and almost beckons) you to move freely and naturally all over the fretboard. As an added bonus, the guitar looks absolutely stunning, truly a work of art (I purchased the wine red variant, in case you are curious). I am excited see how it ages and could not be happier with the guitar. Would highly recommend considering, or at the very least trying, this guitar if in the market for an upper-end guitar.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro 3T Electric Guitar:

Nice attempt by Gibson. The guitar plays nice and looks great. I got the Vintage Sunburst and along with the vintage binding and pick guard, the guitar looks much more expensive than it actually is. This is my fourth new Gibson purchase. The quality is good, but falls short of what it was on my 1999 Les Paul Standard.

I hate the coil splitting pick ups and tried them only once- to make sure I was in the humbucker setting. And I'm not sure nor do I care what the 10 db boost feature is. Note to Gibson; If I wanted a single coil pick up guitar, I would have bought a Fender.

For the price, this is a really good guitar. Just not a great one. IMHO
