I bought mine 14 months ago and love it. I've never had any trouble with it. It's a classic.

It's a beast

I know it's expensive, but it's a fabulous guitar. The neck is extemely fast and the tone can be anything from sqeaky clean to downright insane. Workmanship is superb.

Not what I expected

By RipThorn

I have been playing guitar for several years now and have heard about the legendary Les Paul since the beginning. I was anxious to play one, so I tried an LP Standard Limited Edition. I like the four-knob configuration for fine tweaking of tone and volum of each pickup and the tone is definitive classic rock, but I found it to lack a little in the versatility department. Also, I thought the neck contour flattened out too much and the bridge seemed to be set very high off the body. In addition, it was very heavy and uncomfortable to play. But I guess if you need that tone, these things are bearable if nothing else will do.

Nice guitar, but its had its issues

By Cory Jacobsen

Beautiful guitar, plays real well, has amazing tone but ive always had fret buzz on the g-string. I had it checked out and the neck itself is the issue, i sent it into Gibson to have it repaired and it has been their for three months now, hopefully one day we will be reunited. Aside from that im a Gibson fan and always will be but if it ever needs to be factory serviced i hope you have a backup guitar

Gibson Les Paul Standard LE

The Gibson Les Paul Standard LE is the last guitar you will ever own. It has everything. The Ebony fretboard is so fast and smooth, you'll never want to play on anything else again. From perfect clean sounds through a Twin, to harsh distortion through a vintage JMP, this guitar can do it all. This is the best guitar out there.

Gibson Les Paul Standard LE

Being somewhat of a beginner in guitar, I really didn't think there were any differences in guitars in terms of feel. I was wrong! I used my friend's Gibson Les Paul, and It was so awesome. The neck was so much easier to use than my guitar, and I found bar chords easier to play. The distortion was also much "cleaner" (as opposed to muddy) than my guitar, with the same amp. Without the distortion, the pickups produced a wonderful clean sound. After playing this guitar, my own felt so bad compared to this. I very much hope to buy one for myself soon.
