great guitar even with the high price

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded '60s Neck Electric Guitar:

this is a great guitar. when i picked it up i tried every zeppelin lick that i knew and it handled them all perfectly. sure you may get the usual complaint about the speed on the les pauls and the price, but if you can pull off a zeppelin solo easily on this guitar, there's no need to complain about it. except with the price you might have to live in a box for a month or two because you'll miss a couple house payments. great guitar though.

My favorite guitar. Great sound, thinner '60's neck feel great and works better with my smaller hand size. Like it much better than my LP Custom

Good stuff

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded '60s Neck Electric Guitar:

My name is Jarrod I recently got a 60's neck LP Standard in the tobacco burst satin finish. This guitar has more depth in tone and volume than any other I have heard before. Gibson is known for their quality in production and sound. It is a little heavy after a while of standing with it, but, when you hit those beautifully full llicks on this guitar you forget that it's heavy at all(what Paul isn't heavy anyway?).The Humbuckers very versatile; you can make just about any kind of music with them. It has an awesome neck. Some say that the necks of Les Pauls aren't very fast, but mine is super fast. It has a 60's slimmy neck with a rosewood fingerboard. The only thing I don't like is that they are really easy to scratch and dent if they have the satin finish. If you want to get a guitar that will never lose value and only build value over time, then Gibson is the only way to go. If you want to invest in a True-Grit instrument this one will amaze you as well as make you proud to own a gibson USA guitar.

What a guitar!

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded '60s Neck Electric Guitar:

This guitar is truly an insane instrument. I bought the guitar in the tobacco color and it really is beautiful. I had a goldtop epiphone which i can no longer use because it simply pales absolutely in comparison to this monster. It is lighter, has a more comfortable neck and just plays with ease. Whoever says that the epiphones and gibsons are alike have never tried this gibson. My one and only complaint that I can deal with is there's a slight issue of sliding. The neck seems to have a slightly higher than normal amount of friction causing sliding to take a slightly more conscious effort than on most guitars but it could just be the strings it came with or whatnot, but don't let that stop you from buying it because it has a godly tone that I've only seen some of the greatest guitarists of all time mimic or beat.

This thing cooks......

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded '60s Neck Electric Guitar:

I'm not sure what guy above is talking about but th finish on this thing is absolutely beautiful. It's a flat finish...hello? It's supposed to look old without all the wear and tear. Anyway, the tone provided by the zebra coils is out of this world. If you like Ginson Guitars, this is a must have for really not that much money.

Finally, after 40 years!

By Captain Tony

from New York

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded '60s Neck Electric Guitar:

I finally purchased a Les Paul Standard and I'm not dissapointed. Been playing 40 years have had many guitars, some Gibsons as well but neven an authentic Les Paul. When I first saw this guitar I was 15 years old, my Dad couldn't see spending all that dough on a guitar, but now 40 years later I finally got it, a beautiful faded tobbaco burst Les Paul. Plays like a dream. Great vintage sound provided by the burstbucker pro's and the faded finish seems to enhance the resonance and sustain, it certainly makes it feel like an old friend. If you're sitting on the fence or never had a Les Paul, get this one!
