I received this guitar a few days after i purchased it. I pulled it out of the case and was very happy with guitar. The action is very low, plays like a dream. I loved the coil tap feature on this guitar. I also loved the belly cut in the back and is super light compared to my other Gibson's. I actually purchased the cherry and the honey burst.

Though I owned a Gibson acoustic years ago, this new purchase has fallen short of my expectations. It appears that the pride in craftsmanship has bottomed out at the Gibson manufacturing plant. Though the LP that I purchased was reasonably priced, I still anticipated a quality product in which I expected based on the Gibson name. The tone and volume knobs were offset during placement and the guitar has a sloppy difficult action. There is a chance that with a proper set up that the action may be adjusted however, I'm not sure if this will correct the staying in tune issue.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Special T Burstbucker Pro Electric Guitar:

I was blessed, lucky and charmed to get this guitar for the price I did. I love it. It has charm, excellent tuners, excellent neck, excellent pickups, excellent finish, great electronics, resonates and is a Gibson Les Paul.

or is it?

It's really like a SOUPED up Gibson Les Paul JR.

The neck is glued on. The action is perfect. The guitar couldn't be prettier. There's no pickguard. I'm not a fan of pickguards. But it lacks two crucial elements. It does not have a maple cap therefore it won't sound QUITE like a Les Paul. It almost sounds like a Les Paul. It almost sounds like an SG. But it's somewhere in between. However, if you're one of those "wood don't make no difference" folks then forget what I'm saying. It's not a deal killer for me. The lack of carved neck is right out of the book of Les Paul JR. Oh, then there's binding on the body. No binding on the body and I don't care about that. Anyway, add those 3 things and you have a Les Paul standard. Take them away you have a souped up awesome Les Paul JR.

Why souped up? Well, it doesn't have p90's like your typical Les Paul JR. It has Burstbucker pro's and those are awesome. They have a rich sound. Then you can split them for even more variety of tones.
Guitar has binding on the neck and the frets feel perfect. Not sharp. Not high. Perfect. Action is low. Guitar smells like cotton candy. Or nitrocellulos. It is gorgeous. Even my wife thinks so. It's an awesome versatile guitar and I love it.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Special T Burstbucker Pro Electric Guitar:

This LP is a great value. The finish is very nice. The Burstbucker pickups have a nice tone. The coil-split gives a wide range of tones for different songs. The playability is great. I really like the neck banding that you don't get on cheaper LP models. I also like the Grover tuners better than the G-Force tuners offered on some other models. A heavy duty gig bag comes with the guitar. I would have preferred a real case.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Special T Burstbucker Pro Electric Guitar:

The Gibson Les Paul T gets a T for "Terrific"! I own several Gibson guitars and each one has a purpose which is to be played. I received this about a week ago and have not put it down since. I have taken it to both rehearsal last week and plan to again this week. It's small investment for something that gives you a greater return in play ability, comfort, and sound. This guitar is fun to pickup and play!.

GREAT value. This is the best sounding les Paul I have played for under 1600... Period. I like the 60s profile neck. I love the fact that this guitar is no frills. The pickups are amazing. Detailed sound, unlike all of the studio versions.

Worth EVERY penny of $1000... The overall quality of this LP Special is just as good as my 1978 Gibson LP Custom! I can't say enough. The Plek Setup is PERFECT. The BB Pros sound great with clean AND dirty. STAYS IN TUNE with anything you play, and pretty too!

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Special T Burstbucker Pro Electric Guitar:

LOVE my Les Paul! Came set up right out of the box with a note from final tech who tested it. Zebra pickups are beautiful against the crimson finish. Tuners are chrome, not the vintage Les Paul, but they hold their tuning well. Overall sound and action is fantastic! Very pleased with this guitar and look forward to years of enjoyment.
