I saw Joe Bonamassa with a black pick guard on his Gold Top Les Paul. That I thought looked cool. So I had to give my Gold Top a black pick guard. So I went to my local Guitar Center here in Algonquin Illinois. They didn`t have it in stock so they ordered one for me and it was here in three days. Like the title says it fit perfect. No problems! Easy to install too.
everything fit precisely. as for the guy with the screws are too small problem. the screws that come with the pickguard are for the screw hole by the neck pickup and they fit perfectly. it comes with two screws, and one is extra. the other screw for the bracket hole comes with the bracket which is sold separately. overall excellent product fit great on my Gibson LP Studio
I bought this pick guard, pick-up rings and selector switch ring and the are all to small. The screws with all these items are too small also.. Never again..
I bought this for my Gibson Les Paul as it didn't come with a pickguard and, to me, they just don't seem right without one. It fits perfectly. A lot of people complain about it not fitting on Epiphone Les Pauls, but that's because they tried to put it on an Epiphone. Epiphones are a budget alternative for people who want the look of the Les Paul but can't afford a Gibson one and the quality of an Epiphone reflects this. The measurements on an Epiphone aren't as exact as they are on a Gibson. If you have an Epiphone Les Paul and buy one of these, expect to do some filing to get it to fit.
I'm taking the time to write this review because the only other review at this time is from a fellow blasting Gibson because thier pickguard didn't fit his Epiphone guitar. My Gibson Les Paul Deluxe didn't come with a pickguard so I ordered this one. It fit perfectly. A few points to consider before you order are, (a.) When choosing between the black or the cream, check the color of your pickup trims and the selector switch trim. (b.) The L bracket doesn't come with the pickguard. If you need to order one, check the color of your tunners and order appropriately. Don't confuse nickel and chrome. In closing,"You will be comletely satisfied with the Gibson Les Paul pickguard. Five Stars"
So, I bought a used Epiphone Les Paul from Guitar Center awhile ago. The guitar came without the pick-guard, its hardware, and the washer for the Rhythm/Treble Switch. It was suggested that I buy the Gibson part as it would "certainly" fit. Well, the dimensions are not correct and I will be filing, grinding, sanding, and trimming the edges so that the pick-guard properly fits around the pickup trim plates. Not the perfect fit!
