Amazing.

By Ehron

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

This Guitar screamed at me when i first saw it. it was amazingly beautiful. but i wanted to see how it would play. oh my gosh, the first chord i played on it i knew it was the one. i took mine home in bullion gold. it plays so smoothly. the 496R and 500T SCREAMM when played on distortion. and are calm when played clean. the only thign i did not like about this guitar was the price. but i got it anyway. and im nto regretting it. i recommend this guitar to anyone who plays anything. this guitar will play anything. ive played stuff from slayer solos to jimi hendrix licks on this baby. its just amazing.

My dream guitar!

By Joe

from Lyndhurst,NJ

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

I have wanted this guitar since I was 12 years old the first time I saw Jimmy Page. It's looks, sound and feel are amazing.I could not believe how easy it is to play.I bought mine in heritage cherry sunburst.I added nickel pickup covers for a more classic look.I was a little confused that the gibson web site and guitarcenter.com do not show it in this color but I found one at a guitarcenter store.

Greatest Guitar EVER MADE!!

By LedZepRulz

from Woodstock, NY

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

I own the Vintage Burst and this guitar is the greatest. It gives a great clean tone and an amazing rock sound with some distortion. I wouldn't change a single thing with this guitar. If you have the money I wouldn't waste a single minute in buying this guitar. If you want the sound of Jimmy Page and Slash then you have to get this guitar.

Gibson Les Paul Classic

By jxt203

from Levittown, NY

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

I got this guitar a few months ago, and I love it. You don't know how well a guitar can play until you playing something like this. I have the Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish which Gibson no longer offers. There are few guitars that play this well, both treble and rhythm both play very good. One of the main reasons for getting this guitar was the pickups, it has 496R in the neck and 500T in the bridge, best pickups I have encountered. There also on the Gibson Flying V and Explorer. Overall a great value and love the perfect finish. Great tone and sustain. Pick one up if you can afford it.

Les Paul!!!!

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

What can I say that hasn't already been said about the famous Gibson Les Paul's. They have probally the ultimate history of any guitar in the world. But I must say my boring story from this point on. My brother has a Gibson Les Paul and it's the best guitar I've played. You can play any style of music and it will just sound awesome. If your looking for a guitar get any Gibson Les Paul actually I mean any GIBSON product and it will sound great to any style of music just Les Paul or more classy than most.

beauty for the bucks

By TheEdge40

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

The Gibson Les Paul Classic is nothing short of breath taking. The one I own is a 1992 model and it still has that warm overdriven tone. Features are still breathtaking this guitar is 14 years old and nobody would know!! So if you want a guitar that is versatile and freakin great guitar. GET THE GIBSON LES PAUL CLASSIC IT IS WORTH IT!!!

classic goldtop

By Uncle Waltie

from Concord, Ca.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

I wanted a goldtop but didn't want to spend too much because I want to gig with it and not be worried if it got dinged or stolen. I got this at GC in Concord,Ca. for a great price and was surprised at the quality! I like the neck on this better than my Heritage-80 1959 RI. I didn't care for the pickups so I replaced them with a '57 classic and a classic plus along with a plain pickguard and truss cover so it is now (for less than $2000) one of my favorite guitars and one of my most played! Try one!!

i LOVE this guitar.

By JustinAiken

from Provo, UT

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

Okay, I have one of these that was made in 2003, the 3 pickup version. First off let me say that I got mine used - very used. The previous owner had got it from some druggies, and the neck had been completely snapped off, so my model has been restored. I still love this guitar. The sound is amazing (I replaced the pickups with Seymour Duncans.) Playing through a Marshall with a bit of tube screamer gives an amazing 70's or 80's rock sound, depending on the gain. The sustain is killer. Then when I switch to the neck pickup, I can get a really smooth jazz tone. Everyone is always surprised at how well of a jazz sound it gets for not being a hollowbody. The action/feel of the guitar is great too. While not quite shredtastic as an Ibanez or something, I can still go quite fast on it, and don't ever feel that I'm limited by the fretboard. It is also very clear - when playing barre chords with distortion, you can still hear every single note. The only downside is it's not too feature-laden - no Steve Vai style playing on this. Still, based on it's amazing tone and playability, this is my favorite guitar. Even being broken, I wouldn't trade it for a Jem or PRS of equivalent value.

Perfect

By Zach

from CT

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

This guitar is the best guitar on the planet. no contest. It's the best sounding, best playing, and best looking guitar ever. the neck sits perfectly in your hand and is more comfortable than any other neck I've played. The pickups can go from the cleanest cleans to the highest gain distortions and hadel any sound in between perfectly (only beaten by a pair of EMG 81/60 in my opinion). This is one of the only 2 Gibsons i woulc concider buying (SG special is the other). No guitar has come close to this one in playability or tone.

Rock and roll machine!

By Bazooka Jones

from Detroit

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

I have three Pauls and I love this one (I have a Vintage Burst) The slim taper neck is a joy to play. The ceramic pick-ups are crunchy and fat, so excellent for ballsy rock. They may be a bit much if your more of a blues guy, but for rock they are great. I hear complaints that Les Pauls are a bit heavy...c'mon toughen up kids. It's a lot of guitar, and it should have some weight to it.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

I've owned my Les Paul Classic for about 4 Years now. It's made me a better player from the momment I first picked it up.I've played with this guy who is a big Zakk Wylde fan and had a Les Paul Raw Power with EMG's.My Classic sounded much better and I believe a little more powerful. The pick-up's are the same that are in the Flying-V & Explorer. In a Nut Shell. The Sound:Powerful Pure Gibson Neck:Perfect Finish:As Pretty as a sunrise. The Classic is the Best Les Paul you can buy for your hard earned Money.

Les Paul Classic is off the HOOK

By Rodneyp77

from Moreno Valley

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

This guitar has the perfect action and tone. Not only does it have great looks but the feel is great. I have owned and played for years Fender gutiars, Epiphone's and Ibanez guitars. I switched to an Epiphone Les Paul standard and used it for years and loved it so why not have the real thing. I saved up my money and bought my Gibson Les Paul Classic light burst. I did not think it would change my playing but it did. I found it easier to play, a heavier tone and it has a longer sustain than my preivous guitars. The frets were smooth with no discomfort when playing. This guitar is the bomb. I'm a fan and will never go back. Sure I miss the Floyd Rose and the weight of some of the other guitars but the benefits are well worth it in the long run! If I could look back I would of bought this to start with and just paid the piper!

A work of art

By spittle8

from Detroit, MI

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

These guitars are sacred. They proffer outstanding, legendary tone. These guitars are beautiful. They have gorgeous finishes, and are substantial instruments, weighing an awful lot. It is worth it. Tone: The lead pickup offers all kinds of things. It offers rockabilly, rock, hard rock, metal, heavy metal, classic rock, et cetera. The metal tones attainable are stunning. The thing is crunchy and defined, and strong as a mule. The rythm pickup offers beautiful tones, among them bell-like lead tones, bell-like shredding metal tones, thick rythms, cleans, and superb blues tones. Build: A solid guitar, Gibson isn't as good with quality control as other companies, so try the sucker out before buying. The neck is not easy to play; a Strat isn't an easy guitar to shred on, either, but a Paul's neck is really detrimental to speed, except for rythm. But you adjust. The thing is heavy, but comfortable. Essentially, this guitar is a classic, no pun intended. A wonderful guitar. Worth having. A great Les Paul.

Great Guitar

By Hendrix101

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

I received this guitar as a graduation gift from my parents years ago. I absolutely love it. It sounds even better now than when I first got it. I would recomend buying a standard if you can afford it, but this guitar is not slacking in the least. If you buy this guitar, you will not be disappointed.

Rock n Roll!!!

By tietjen

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar. Fast 60's neck, cool looking aged inlay & pegs, maple arch top... SWEET! I wish it had coil taping but it sounds great as is. Quality is good but not as good as a $1700 guitar should be... mine had a pourly drilled tail piece and required replacement... no biggy but should never have been an issue.

Classic tone for the masses

By Gator Collector

from Florida

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

I was born in 1960 so of course this caught my interest. I bought mine when they had 1960 on the pickguard. I ad covers installed on the pickups which are very nice and scream or roar to suit just about anyones needs. This is one of my three Pauls and it has the goldtop finish. It looks and sounds like a real classic. It is not as pricy as the standard but can keep up with one nicely. Get yours and start rocking.
