From a long time owner's son

By Jeff

from Los Angeles, CA

I had stared at my father's Guibson J-50 in awe for years before my father considered me worthy of playing. The Guibson J-50 is, for me, the representative standard Guibson guitar. It has depth unrivaled by any Martin or Taylor and a plethora of extremely pleasing overtones and undertones with each chord. It is not the easiest guitar to nevigate during a solo, however the strong pop of the strings give any folk, blues, bluegrass, etc. The woods choses are pleasing both aesthetically and acoustically. Overall, when one purchases a J-50 they are purchasing a lifelong friend if given the chance.
