Comments about Gibson Flying V History Electric Guitar:
This Gibson Flying V History ended a long quest for a V for me. The fit and finish is perfect! The tone is phenomenal. Very good and full tonal spectrum with mids that cut through the mix. This page says it has 490 & 498 pickups but I called Gibson and it has a 57' Classic Plus in the bridge and a 57' in the neck as stated on their web page. It is modeled after 70's V's with the thinner body and neck volute. I like how it looks almost black from a distance but is really a very dark cherry to look aged. It came with 10-46 Cleartone strings that I really like. The action was perfect and easier to bend than many of my other 8 Gibson's. Plugged into my Marshall JVM410H riffs by AC/DC, Scorpions, Aerosmith and Guns -N- Roses sounded incredible!!
