You want to talk heavy? Bill Kelliher' riffs with metal giants Mastodon could just about crush the prehistoric beast that gives the band its name. The Bill Kelliher œHalcyon Les Paul takes its classic mahogany/maple foundation from this savage-riffing guitarist' longtime favorite singlecut, and blows it through the bedrock with a pair of eviscerating Lace Dissonant Aggressor pickups, with push-pull coil-splitting on their individual volume controls for authentic single-coil sounds.
With the tone totally covered, this guitar drives home the looks, too, courtesy of a gold with blackburst finish, gold-plated hardware, gold speed knobs, a œHalcyon hot-stamped truss-rod cover, cream binding, and traditional trapezoid inlays. The guitar comes protected in a Vintage Brown Gibson hardshell case.

Comments about Gibson Bill Kelliher "Halcyon" Les Paul Electric Guitar:
Acquired 12/23/14 Not a flaw on it and it is an excellent player. The Neck pick up has pronounced mids so it doesn't mud out...the split coil sounds really good. Sounds great clean or distorted. The Bridge Pick up sounds like the mids are scooped out with a very focused and tight sound especially at high gain. Great for Metal! The Lace Sensors are not very high output (when compared to the Dimarzio X2N and Super Distortion @ that have in all my Jacksons)
