Fewer than 200 of these limited edition 50th Anniversary 1958 ES-335s will be produced by the Gibson Custom Shop. The third new guitar introduced by Gibson in 1958, the ES-335 was intended to combine the warmth of a hollowbody jazz guitar with the high-end and sustain of
a solid-body. Immediately popularized by blues and jazz players, the Gibson 335 has since become a beloved staple for guitarists worldwide.
The ES-335 Electric Guitar brought hollowbody tradition and solidbody performance together in 1958, and it is still one of the all-time classic guitar designs. It's among the most versatile guitars you can own. Classic semi-hollowbody design and dual '57 Gibson humbuckers combine to produce everything from full-bodied growls to singing sustain. This Anniversary model has the rounded neck and dot markers that would change to a thinner profile and block inlays in 1962.
The VOS (Vintage Original Spec) finish and hardware have been gently aged so that your guitar will carry the look of a thousand smoky bar gigs, countless sessions, and maybe even a few world tours.
The Gibson ES-335 also features body/neck binding, nickel-plated hardware with vintage tulip tuners, Tune-O-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, separate volume and tone controls, and a 3-way switch.

Comments about Gibson 50th Anniversary 1958 ES-335 Electric Guitar:
I was in guitar center when they took this beauty out of the box.I spotted the antiquing from 20 feet away, walked over and said"take your hands off my guitar please". sometimes you just know when a 25 year search for the perfect 335 has ended. that was before I even plugged it in. once I plugged it in it was all over, in my 47 years I have never heard so much tone come out of an instrument!"sold I said". I have owned around 175 guitars, all the greats included AND THIS ONE TAKES THE CAKE!I have also owned just about every amp and effect pedal there is to own and have never written a single review, I guess that says something in its self. If you are not afraid of a big(toneful)neck and love 335's don't hesitate, only 200 made, buy one. also tom murphy gibsons usally double in value, so it's a great investment guitar and you can't hurt it by playing it, cause it's already aged.
