Overview

The 2017 Les Paul Faded T has the comfortable look of an instrument that already has a few decades of playing on it, but like every Gibson guitar it feels like it has been shaped directly by the player's hand, for an absolutely perfect fit.

This guitar represents the perfect marriage of tradition and modernity. It has modern 490R and 490T humbuckers, 22 polished frets for amazing bends and a great feel, a slim-taper neck profile for fast and comfortable soloing, Ultra-Modern weight relief for comfort and enhanced resonance, and nickel hardware, adding to its yesteryear vibe.

It also features Gibson's new Faded Gloss finish process for a more authentic worn-in look. Delivered in a padded gig bag, accompanied by a strap and a polishing cloth.

This work of perfection is incredible, smooth fret board, incredible sound, the worn cherry finish doesn't do the picture justice. The feel and weight are perfect.ladies and gents, we only live once. If you play or are thinking about playing. Please get a Gibson, you wont be disappointed.

ALL THAT IS NECESSARY FOR A GREAT GIBSON LP FOR LOW MONEY

By abelville

from michigan

Comments about Gibson 2017 Les Paul Faded T Electric Guitar:

The 2017 faded t has all the specs I want in a les Paul. I tend to like simple looks in guitars. I like to see the maple cap grain instead of binding that covers it in the high priced les Paul standard models. I'm probably in the minority on stuff like that. I was able to get a worn cherry demo of this model (faded t) and just love everything about it. Action – perfect, finish – gorgeous, sound of the 490s – perfect for my style (classic rock, blues, jazz). Frets – perfect. I've played guitar for 47 years now. I was in a country rock band back in the 80s, but 90s through now, I've just played for my own amusement and at occasional gigs. I've handled all the epiphone les pauls and up to mid priced Gibsons. The Epiphones, even higher models have multiple pieces making up the body (sometimes 4), with thin veneer (in most cases) for the top and even back. What you get by buying this bare bone Gibson Les Paul, is 2 piece back where you can follow the grains from back to sides, carved maples top you can see from the sides, Gibson 490s, plek'd fretboard, just better at all the basics minus the bling. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for the epiphones I have too and think of them as a great, reliable bargin with good sound. But, these Gibson tributes should be considered if you are already shelling out $400 - $600 for an epi. I was going to do just that, then I decided to save an extra $200 and buy a real Gibson Les Paul. Love it…..

Comments about Gibson 2017 Les Paul Faded T Electric Guitar:

I've noticed this guitar before, and on a whim decided to buy it while I was purchasing another. Too bad it wasn't BOGO day! I practice on more than one guitar, but it's the LP I practice on. The faded brown is drop dead gorgeous. I'd never sell this guitar.

Comments about Gibson 2017 Les Paul Faded T Electric Guitar:

Nothing bad to say about this beauty. Fantastic Les Paul for the money. The neck is super fast. I actually like the dots on the neck, it makes it unique. The gig bag is nice but you want to buy a case for this, no Gibson should be transported in a bag. Please don't listen to anybody that says there's no difference between an Epi and a Gibson except the price, You must play them back to back to see there is no comparison. Put this up to a Plus top pro and you will find the extra money for the Gibson. Been around a long time, played a lot of guitars professionally. I know what I'm talking about.

I have 3 LP's and this guitar is the one I play

      By St. Louis Blues

      from St. Louis, MO

Comments about Gibson 2017 Les Paul Faded T Electric Guitar:

I bought my first two LP's because of their beauty and distinction. This one I bought to play. It feels great and plays like a dream.. The neck is perfect, the fretwork is nicely finished, the pickups are great, and the feel is superior (IMO). I credit Gibson for offering an American-made, players guitar without the high price of gleaming cosmetics.

      PLEK fretwork is immaculate.

      By Louparte

      from Gulf Coast

Comments about Gibson 2017 Les Paul Faded T Electric Guitar:

Just took delivery on a Faded T this week. Set-up was fine out of the box. This instrument I s a US-made guitar which Gibson runs through a PLEK machine for fretting and action. That influenced my purchase. The set-up and frets were immaculate, right out of the box. For the money, nothing on the market, even imports, can come close to this guitar.

Comments about Gibson 2017 Les Paul Faded T Electric Guitar:

First Les Paul, love this guitar. It has great sound and sustain. Nice finish and great price point for a Gibson LP. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Only wish it came with a hard case instead of the gig bag.

So, I have the 2016 version of this guitar but I have played this version as well. Nearly identical but i prefer the 2016 version of this guitar because it has pickup covers as opposed to the exposed humbuckers that the low e string can get caught on. If you want to buy this guitar i very much reccomend the 2016 model due to production value but not sound. stilla great guitar
