Comments about Gibson 2016 Songwriter Deluxe Studio Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I was actually looking at two other brands that were hung too high on the wall, and even though the Songwriter was not on my short list, I picked it because it was more accessible. With the first strum of the strings I could feel the top vibrating and the sound was very full, loud and rich. I was amazed. I had already played the other guitars I was considering but kept walking away feeling something was missing, the problem is that I was going strictly by reputation of brand name. After twenty minutes of not putting it down my wife finally realized I would not leave the store without it. It was clearance priced so we were able to snatch it up at a bargain price.
When we got it home, she played it and we eventually ended ordering a used one in excellent condition from Guitar Center online.
