Comments about Gibson 2016 Les Paul '60s Tribute T Electric Guitar:

I own guitars that cost 10 times this. From Tele`s, Strat`s, two 59 reissue LP`s with one being a Burst Brothers page 96, and a few other sweet LP standards. One day I was in GC and seen this one, liked the finish and hadn't played P-90`s in a long while so I picked it up, I was Amazed, Shocked and left in AWE! I ended up taking it home and LOVE IT! Gibson out done they`re self with this one! I gig this guitar now on a regular basis over my other guitars that cost so much more.. I play with a horn section, we do R-n-R Rhythm and blues shows, from the Blues Brothers to Joe Bonamassa and this guitar preforms Wonderfully. Yes I own many, better, more expensive guitars but this one just has that "it factor" to it. The feel, sound, weight and just playability is Wonderful. I get it, some guys are gonna say I'm full of it, but let me say this, it doesn't matter at all how much the guitar cost!!! What matters is, is how good it feels in your hands when your playing it and how well you can make it sound and this one just has that for me. I`ve had it now for 6 months and I work it hard with not one problem. The P-90 Scream, as most do but a controllable scream. The ole "you get what you pay for" saying, gets BLOWN UP with this one! Even though it doesn't have the neck binding, its smooth as silk. I could go on and on but after 6 months, as hard as I am on guitars, there`s not one thing I can say bad, I`ve not found one thing to complain about. Its an unbeatable buy!! and a fantastic players guitar. I will be buying another just to have around..

Comments about Gibson 2016 Les Paul '60s Tribute T Electric Guitar:

A great value. Not expensive. Big tone. Looks good. A little fret sprout, but not too bad.

My only beef is the finish on the back has already chipped a little, but all in all it's a great and fun thing to jam around on. Get your P-90 fix.

Comments about Gibson 2016 Les Paul '60s Tribute T Electric Guitar:

I have always found myself wandering back and fourth from a Les Paul with its amazing Humbuckers, To the Stratocaster With glassy single coils. But when I walked into Guitar Center and plugged the Gibson 60's Tribute in to a simple Fender amp, I WAS AMAZED AT WHAT I DISCOVERED! First when I turned up the amp I heard that there was no noise. Next the dual P-90's gave me thee option of the diverse tone of and single coil and humucker mixed together. Not only did the guitar sound amazing but the honeyburst finish, slim taper neck, and black satin finish on the back of the body and neck blew my mind. I will be back soon to pick this guitar up for sure.

Comments about Gibson 2016 Les Paul '60s Tribute T Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar new. Played it in a noisy Guitar Center with everyone playing, talking etc. First off I was taken by the beautiful Honeyburst finish. The P90s roared and barked like a good Gibson P90 should. The action was high from the get go. The fret ends were rough. No problem I thought; these things I would remedy after the purchase; although I thought the frets should have not passed quality inspection from the factory.

Got it home, changed the strings, lowered the action a tad bit, and the buzz got worse. The intonation on open chord position was way off. Checked and made sure that the set up was within Gibson's recommended specs; they were.

Took it back to Guitar Center where the technician tried everything possible short of shaving the frets and cutting a new nut. Nut was cut too high. Lowering it would make the buzzing worse; catch 22. A senior tech looked at it and found the neck had a twist in it, ever so slight, but enough to make it a return for me. I had the store order me another one; hopefully this one will be a good one. Maybe quality control took a vacation when they let this one out off of the assembly line.
