Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Traditional SR:

This guitar is not only beautiful to look at, but the variety of sounds that you can dial in make this guitar incredibly versatile. Roll the volume to 10 and keep the tone low and get that growl and bite you would expect from a 59 style humbucker (blues with an edge or classic rock), roll the volume down and the tone up and you get that country twang (not quite a telecaster, but you don't have to buy a tele or change guitars in the middle of a set), Roll the volume back up to 10 and get the tone up there and you can get that heavier rock/metal edge/sound. If I could afford more I would by another one or two, might have to beg Santa for one ;o)

I have mine setup with 11g M-Steel strings that I tail wrap (ie - Joe Bonamassa's les pauls), the action is set pretty low, and I drop the tailpiece all the way down for more sustain and increased ease of bending the heavier guage strings - the result is magic when pushed through a Fender Tweed tube amp!!

At the end of the day a great buy on a great guitar and might be the only guitar you need to own for multiple genres of music!! Keep up the great work Gibson and GC!!

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Traditional SR:

I like this new Sprint Run guitar. I wouldn't have minded the extras found on a 2015, but thing just rocks! Beautiful guitar, removable pick guard, tune-it-yourself system (literally), 50's neck. Comes in a flat gold case. And it's a real Gibson! Price was right for entry level pro stuff, which I am not. I am a casual intermediate. I don't deserve it, but I own it!
