Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Traditional Electric Guitar:

I just can't sing the praises of this guitar enough. Every last detail is astounding, the tone coming from it is just gorgeous, it just feels perfect in my hands. I've never played such a comfortable guitar. It's like it was custom made for me. I got the ocean blue color, and I can't help but stare at it. I may never buy another guitar again.

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Traditional Electric Guitar:

This might sound crazy, but we bought this guitar in Ocean Blue for our 7-year-old guitar prodigy and it sounds incredible. He has been playing seriously for just over a year and has an Ibanez Gio and LTD that are fine, but we wanted to invest in him and get a quality instrument. We have had it for a few weeks and so far ZERO problems with anything, including the robot tuner that others seem to hate. While I understand the desire to have a choice on the tuner, as other reviewers have said, you MUST read the manual for the auto tuner and learn how to use it! There are about a million different settings and functions, and I'm sure if you just start pushing buttons randomly it will be screwy. You aren't forced to use it-- you can tune manually when it is off and when you use it, it turns itself off once you are all tuned up. Our kid has perfect pitch and tunes everything by ear anyway, so this accessory isn't necessary but it is pretty cool anyway. One of his favorite features is the removable pick guard... The neck is thick, and we worried about that with his small hands but it has not caused him any problems thus far. He's just as fast on this as on any other guitar. I will say it is HEAVY, about 10 lbs. or so, so invest in a good strap and maybe get those locking washers just to be on the safe side. Everyone who sees this guitar, including our son's guitar teacher, drools over it and says it's about the most beautiful color and finish they've ever seen. Some out there say they don't like the gold case, but who cares?? It's a case. Scratches are going to happen with something this heavy, so a lighter color is actually better for hiding those I think. And for whatever reason, ours smells of chocolate-- probably from the varnish or some chemical in the case, but it is actually delightful and not off-putting at all. We're glad we bought this guitar and expect that our son will have many more years of enjoyment and development with it. Would recommend it to any serious player. The only thing I can say on the flip side is that we wish this guitar came in the Midnight Manhattan color like the 2014.

Holy Cow - Amazing - Energy in a wooden frame guitar

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Traditional Electric Guitar:

The SOUND and the ENERGY I get from this guitar is the highlight of my year, possibly my collection. This makes Inspiration come alive easily by just picking it up, playing it, letting it tune itself, and listening to the TONES. The split-pickup options and awesome jazz, blues, or rock tones come out of the guitar without much effort at all, despite the acoustic amp I plugged it into the first time I played it. It seems to make the other guitars bow in applause. The ease of which you can play difficult runs is energetically lifting and mind-blowing, can't wait to get another like this - can Gibson put this stuff in an ES 335 ???????

    Les Paul Heaven

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Traditional Electric Guitar:

My first Les Paul was a 1975 Standard that had a tone and feel I've never been able to recapture with any other Gibson, till now. The 2015 Traditional hooked me from the first few chords and notes. THIS is the one I've been looking for. Okay, I will say the jury's still out on the G-Force robotuner. It works fine and is cool for what it does, but I'd be just as happy with some locking manual tuners. The fit and finish on mine is flawless. It has a higher grade flade than what Gibson says it is. Mine has a gorgeous flame under the honeyburst. The fat profile neck won't be to everyone's liking, but I prefer it to thin and skinny (and I have short fingers and small hands). I've learned over the years a fatter neck fits my hand better, and results in less fatiguing and cramping over a four-hour gig. This is a heavy guitar with no weight relief -- but it's all that wood that makes for such great tone and sustain. Here's a new flash: Hang it from a wide, soft leather strap. It will distribute the weight over a larger area of your shoulder and you will hardly notice the weight. The upgraded, hand-wired electronics, the great '59 pickups, wide neck, and brass nut make this guitar very special, a real tone beast, and wicked good fun to play. I haven't enjoyed playing a guitar this much in a long time.

    Awesome guitar

    By James

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Traditional Electric Guitar:

I will start with the most important thing, the tone of this LP is fantastic, just like what you would expect from a Les Paul. I like the wider fretboard but this is definitely personal preference. The brass nut and removable pickguard are good upgrades. I believe gibson has done a very good job of incorporating the past with the new upgrades. The sound and feel of this Les Paul are definitely ventage. The G-Force tuner, it's okay, I could take it or leave it but it is definitely not a deal braker. That being said, ventage tone and playability with some very nice modern features, I believe Gibson hit a home run with this one.

    The Perfect Playing Guitar

    By Michael JA

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Traditional Electric Guitar:

I have owned three Strats, a Hamer Special and a few others but when I started playing this guitar it was like, where have you been all my life. The sound is gorgeous with the PAF's thru my Class 5 Marshall modded. Am looking forward to my 68 Deluxe arriving to see, and play a Vox. I hail from the University of Miami and have had cysts in my hand lately but this guitar enables me to play effortlessly that which I cannot on a Stratocaster Deluxe. Both have their respective sounds but going in the studio in March for my new CD with A listers, I will feel "that" more confident of Mahavishnu type speed and NO buzzes and NO intonation problems period. I was a Hendrix freak and never considered the Les Paul. Boy was I wrong :( -Mike
