Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Traditional Commemorative Electric Guitar:

....(continued from previous review) ...a few issues from hanging on the racks for the past year. He even went the extra mile by having a tech to set it up and wow! What a job did he do.

I was so impressed and was fortunate to find and buy another Gibson Les Paul before I left. Dan has really made sale and a friend.

I left GC really feeling like I had been treated like a king. What a great experience! I don't only have two great Les Pauls from Lake Forest GC but, I also have a great buying experience that is second to none! And to top it off he laughed at some of my corny humor.
Another satisfied customer!
Thanks again GC

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Traditional Commemorative Electric Guitar:

Let me start this review (hopefully and humbley) by kind-of qualifying myself as one who has had a highly trained eye/ear for quality and sound. I am an aeronautics cockpit inspector (by trade) who deals with the flight safety of people and who was one of the final judges (by passion) of the Guitar center Battle of the blues.

I mainly play blues/rock on Les Paul'ish style guitars. I have Strats too.

I took a Monday off to specifically buy a reissue 57 Les Paul Gold top because I was looking for a solid body with the best tonal woods as possible to fit a slot after buying a 1999 59 RI (the holy grail of reissues). Prior to this day I have stopped off at maybe 15-20 times trying every possible reissue I could find and play. What I was looking for was a guitar that has a solid, thick, clear, fat, and biting tone. I had narrowed it down to a $2500 target range and to one 2009 57 reissue ($2399.00) at Lake Forest Guitar center. Upon arriving I met Dan (store manager) who had an extreme amount of gear knowledge!

Some times magic happens by accident (but I would like to think by destiny).

I noticed an extreme "highly" flamed 2015 Gibson Les Paul traditional. I asked Dan could I A/B the 57 reissue against the 2015 LP. What happened next still leaves me puzzled. The 2015 LP had all the previous qualities "Plus" it had these tribute 59 pickups with alnico 2 magnets that has coil mis/matched windings that have bite yet still are warm. I had been looking for all these qualities but thought that I could only get it in a reissue Gibson. Now I really have got to apologize because I had been a previous basher of this particular year and model and now I will have to eat mud (sorry Gibson).

Ok I talked to Dan and all the purchase details and by-the-way it was on a hefty clearance price and mark down which Dan was really honest and polite in doing, not often this happens in management at GC (take note other managers). He looked the guitar over and noticed it had a ..
