Buy this guitar! I highly recommend it.

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Classic SR:

This is a great guitar. The action is fast and very slick. No stumbling around with the frets at all. Puts my Fender Stratocaster and Jackson RRV to shame. Playing on a Marshall Tube Combo JVM410C and the sound is incredible. Playing on my Peavey Stack sounds great, but not as good as the Marshall.
It took me a week to figure out how to use the push pull volume knobs. Dial it in and bam! Sweet sounds.

Mine is 9.6 lbs and have to say that after 3 hours its quite a back sore... but its worth it! The weight also makes it great for smashing it into peoples heads. Really love the thin fret board radius.

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Classic SR:

I have a number of other guitars including a Strat and a Gibson SG Standard but this is the finest one that I own. It is heavier than the others but a good strap takes care of that. The sea foam green looks better in person than the photo and I like it. My only complaint wasn't with the guitar itself but when I picked it up at the store, it had a small chip in it (it must have been banged into something). Though the ad says that there are 250 available, the GC rep said that he couldn't guarantee the exact same guitar if he ordered a replacement. Huh? With what I paid, I expected a perfect new instrument, especially when this is the 4th guitar purchased at the store. A bit disappointed.

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Classic SR:

I have multiple guitars but honestly this is not only the best one I have but the only one I really use now that I have it. The coil taps are great and even tho it only has one tone control there are tons of tonal options. It looks stunning as well. Despite only being rated a BB flame top it is a beautiful patern (Imo the vintage burst especially). Plus it's gonna be a rare guitar to have in the future do to limmited producktion. Honestly I rate this guitar an 8.5 as far as sound and playability. Considering it's under two grand that's an amazing value.

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Classic SR:

I saw the 2015 Les Paul Classic SR hanging on the wall at my local GC and it immediately drew my attention. The Seafoam Green looks amazing in person. I had always wanted a Les Paul but never wanted to spend the money. After plugging it in and playing it I had to have it. The sound matched its looks which I couldn't believe. It was also very easy to play as the guitar was set up perfectly and you barely have to touch the strings. I tried some of the older 2015 models and they did not play nearly as good and the neck felt odd while playing. I know some people didn't like the tuners on the 2015's but I didn't mind it at all. I wish (I may be in the minority) they included them on the SR models but it's not a deal breaker that they aren't on there. I'm so glad I came into GC and saw this guitar before someone else had a chance to buy it.

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Classic SR:

I got the seafoam green and the finish is just stunning absolutely beautiful. I am really surprised that none of the reviews on this guitar thus far have comment on the power of the 57 pickups. Granted I play through an EVH 5150 tube amp but the sheer sustain, its amazing. I play primarily classic rock and this guitar suits that fantastic. I jammed some blues on it and with the db boost it really blew me away. The downsides are the case is horribly ugly and the price is almost in Les paul standard territory. I found it a little lazy that the user manual that came with the guitar was not model specific as this is the only Lp with a db booster. last of all like all Gibson's this guitar is some what heavier then the average but that extra weight contributes to the rich lustful sustain that I have never heard from any of make of guitar.
This is actually the first Gibson I have ever purchased. It blows away my Jackson's my fender and my Schecter's. I have played on quite a few les pauls however and this one really drives home the quality and detail that Gibson is known for. If your like me and like the attention to detail Gibson offers but cant stand the flat wide necks this is the guitar for you what seal the deal for me on this guitar was the rounded thinner ( Still Wider then your Shred necks Jackson, Schecter, Ibanez ) neck. This is the most playable Gibson short of the $4,000 range that you will find.

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Classic SR:

Very well worth the purchase. Sounds and feels amazing. I wanted to get one of the earlier 2015 models, but didn't want the automatic tuners. Very big step up from my Les Paul Studio and the quality is pristine.
