Steal of a deal on a Les Paul

By VHFan4eva

Comments about Gibson 2015 LPM Commemorative Electric Guitar:

Bought one of these before Gibson removed all the G-Force tuning systems, which I happen to love. They didn't get a fair shake as traditionalists complained about them too much. Anyway....this is a Les Paul all the way without the $1000 plastic binding add-on, which is really quite ridiculous if you are honest about it. Bonus on this model and all the 2015's is a wider neck (close to 1-3/4") which I scoffed at first, but now absolutely love it. String spacing is same as traditional, but you have more edge and it is actually very comfortable and easier to play I now find than the old traditional necks that have been used for 50 plus years. Brass nut is adjustable and adds a shimmer to the tone. Maple neck, and maple top...thus the LPM...Les Paul Maple? It works, trust me. Any of you who find traditional Les Pauls somewhat "dark" in tone, will love this model. The maple neck, top, brass nut add just the right amount of treble, and the new 61 Zebra pickups are awesome. Overall, this is just a true working mans Les Paul without expensive binding. Save yourself a grand or more, get the same guitar tone and then some!
