Comments about Gibson 2014 ES-335 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I am not sure if GC has changed the picture of the product since this review has been posted, but the picture does NOT match the description of the guitar. I was looking for a decently priced 335 with block inlays. The guitar in the picture had block inlays so I was a little disappointed when I opened the case to find dot inlays. I called GC to see if anything could be done, and they said no, because all of the block inlay editions currently available are significantly higher in price. I'll be sure to read the descriptions very carefully from now on!

Also, whenever I started playing the guitar, I quickly noticed the action was TERRIBLE. GC told me to call my local store and they should be able to set it up for me for no charge - called the store and they said that they set-up all new products for 50% off. I'm a pretty faithful GC buyer and this overall experience was a little disappointing. Be careful to make sure you're actually getting what you think you've purchased!

Comments about Gibson 2014 ES-335 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

Whether you've played one or just read about the ES-335, everything I could write would be redundant. So, I'll just say that the one I received from Guitar Center is everything I've ever wanted in an electric guitar. Versatile, easy to play, brilliant tone and if that's not enough, when I'm not playing it, I like to sit back and look at it like a beautiful woman. It's worth every penny especially if you can find one on sale. Life is short. Buy the guitar.

Comments about Gibson 2014 ES-335 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I've wanted an END 335 for sometime, but I was hesitant to purchase one online. I wasn't sure of how the consistency would be not being able to try more than one at one time to compare. I found this particular one and decided to purchase it. My fears were put to rest when it arrived!!!! It needed to be set up and after I did that, this guitar was wonderful!!!! The tone is big, sweet and woody and it is a real joy to play!!! So if you are hesitant as well about buying a Gibson, without seeing it first, you have nothing to worry about!!! Gibson's quality is so consistent!!!! Just order that Gibson that you've always wanted!!!
The only thing I found interesting was that there were no adjustment tools with the guitar so I called Gibson's Customer Service. I was told that none of their instruments from Memphis come with the tools. Only their guitar's from Nashville!!!! For what these instruments cost, I don't think it would hurt for them to include tool's with every guitar they make...........
