Comments about Gibson 2014 ES-335 Satin Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:
I have played a lot of ES335s looking for one that spoke to me. I played both 2014s and 2015s, with both '57 Classics and Burstbuckers. I never could find one that sounded as good as my Les Pauls. I had just about given up on buying a 335. Just before Christmas 2015, I wandered into one of my local GCs and noticed a brand new, unsold, leftover 2014 Satin finish ES335 hanging on the wall. I asked the sales guy to get it down, and plugged it into a Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue amplifier. I was astonished at how good this guitar sounded, compared to all the other 335s I had played, the majority of them at a higher price point. Two weeks later, just before Christmas, I bought this guitar. On the way home, I wondered if it was the amp that made the difference, but plugging it into my Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb reissue, the guitar sounded the same, great. Buy one of these unsold 2014 ES335s, you will not regret it.
