love the sound

I love the sound of these strings. There so easy to bend with, they give me more flexabilaty to play. I play rock to blues to metal. I got the free setup and now it plays much better. If you want your guitar to sound like an old les paul, sg, explorer, or firebird it will be great.

Gibson VR10 Strings

I put these strings on my 61 SG Reissue. Couldn't believe the improvement in both sound and feel over the stock Brite Wires that came on the guitar. They feel lighter than 10 gauge strings with a nice vintage tone. I originaly bought the VR10's for my Custom Shop Les Paul. Not having any of the Gibson Brite Wires on hand I put the VR10's on the SG. I usualy keep the same strings that the manufacture puts on the guitar, in this case I'm glad I did'nt.

Great Vintage Sounding String

I bought these strings for my Les Paul Prophecy Custom GX, what else would you buy for an LP? I was trying to get as much of a vintage sound as I could. After tuning them up and plugging them into my Vox VT15 I was shocked, the sound was exactly what I had been looking for, needless to say I fell in love. Only problem is when I picked my guitar up a week later G B and high E were all corroded and had lost all the brightness they previously had, even when played on the "Chimey Vox" settings on my modeling amp. In the strings defense my hands were about as sweaty as can be when I strung them and did not treat or clean them before putting the guitar back on the wall. In light of other reviews saying they lasted quite a while I'd say this is a case of the check operator light being on. Regardless of this aggravating issue I'll still buy them again, just can't be the sound. I'll just make sure to take better care of them this time.

Great Buy !!!

I've been using Ernie Ball Super Slinkys for a while and i switched over to these strings and they sound amazing on my lespaul. I've gone through 4 packs of EB's in 1 month and over a three week period of having these strings ive only snapped one string and one uncoiled but thats because i probably pick too hard.

Excellent Strings

Been playing guitar for years and you can't beat the Gibson strings for your Les Paul. The strings have a great sound and are very durable. I play/practice at least 2 hrs. a day: bending, strumming, and picking. The strings usually hold for at least a month before breaking.
