Tuners on steroids

I got these just today, I put them on my '96 gibson melody maker which has a standard tremelo bridge, and I put them on thinking that I'd still need a locking nut to put on to keep the thing in tune with the vibrato bar. I got home, plugged it in my amp, I put the vibrato bar on thinking that it would stay in tune a little better, I've been playing for 4 hours and only had to tune once, which is right before i starded playing. It just blew me away. If they can keep a crappy tremelo bridge in tune, I think they could just keep it in tune in general. Great buy!

not impressive

The looks for these machine heads are great and give your gibson or whatever you play an older and more classy look to your guitar. Though, saying that, they are NOT very good for playing. The hold a tune pretty well, but if you so much as look at these things the wrong way, they will break on you. I have gone through two full sets on my gibson and i have only had it for about 2 years and i never bang it around. These are the wrong way to go if your looking to upgrade or even replace. Go with the Grovers..

Ditto

My LP slips constantly out of tune. I've set it up time and time again, it just gets me frustrated, wastes time.
