I just got these strings for my Gibson SG today and they are slightly better than average strings. They are not rough at all and these are incredibly easy to bend, not only that but they stretch really fast so when you first put them on you don't have to worry about having to tune your guitar a thousand times before they stay in tune. Over all they are a decent set of strings.
I have been using these strings ever since I got my Gibson SG about 2 years ago, and I have to say, they are the best I've played so far. I've used plenty of other strings, Ernie ball, DiMarzio, Dunlop, and even Fender strings that usually don't last over a week. These strings however are amazing, great bending, and they feel great for weeks after most other strings get worn out or break. So far I've had these on my SG for weeks, where as on my strat i put on Fender bullets. The Fender bullets high e have broken 5 times, and the strings are worn out, but on my Gibson, the strings seem hardly a week old. I highly adise you to buy these strings for any guitar that you have, you won't be sorry.
I have been looking for "That Sound" out of a set of electric guitar strings for a long time. I found it in these VR10 Vintage Reissue strings. As the Gibson description states; Tone - Warm. My description; Make your Les Paul SOUND like a Les Paul again... Yep, they costs a few bucks more. They're worth it.
